There’s very little quality information about underwater welding on KZitem that I can find. I hope you’ll keep making more.

I am a certified commercial diver in the state of Maine. I harvest various seafoods and also do mooring inspections and cut rope out of propellers. I'm also 43 years old. Am I to old to consider schooling for other types of diving?

Honestly I'm really considering this but I wanna do inland underwater welding or is that just a offshore thing ?

Most of the work is in offshore oil and gas in the Gulf of Mexico but there is definitely inland work as well

@@cwood5072 well the thing is how long are you on the oil rig is it for 6 months or do you take a boat back and forth daily

@@mcbins1993 I may be wrong, but after researching most underwater welders stay at the site as long as your employer / contractor assigns you. Typically no more than 45 days at max, and most times less than that.

Cal W has it right. Typically you will spend 3-4 weeks offshore at a time.
