While out looking for early spring waterfowl migrants; I was startled by two Tundra Swans which flew perhaps 20 feet over me and landed as I lay on the edge of the water. I am always impressed by the size of these birds (6-7 foot wingspan) making the Canada Geese look small by comparison. While I watched them the wind was persistent with a storm moving in; however right before it got dark the wind died down, the swans swam out into the water and I was able to grab a couple of good images. There were also other waterfowl in the area as you can hear in the video but none were interested in this spot.
