Thank you for this engaging video, Soror! If I might add a morsel of information...Crowley almost certainly first encountered this symbol in the Golden Dawn's "Polygons and Polygrams" paper, in which the unicursal hexagram is referred to as "the Pseudo-Hexagram or irregular third form". The embossing of the symbol with the five-petalled rose and all its further symbolism is, of course, owed to Crowley's ingenium.

Fantastic, I’m so glad you made this. I almost got a tattoo of this Symbol and would have had the rose upside down to my desire. I so appreciate your work. I have just started working with the Thoth Tarot deck. 93

There's another way to orient the Unicursal Hexagram: sideways. This is from Marko Rodin's Vortex Based Math which comes from the Baha'i Faith. So, it derives from the Enneagram, although not a circular Enneagram but a Hexagonal Enneagram that has 12 points, or 13 including the middle; like a Zodiac Wheel with Ophiuchus as the hub.

@@MaeviusLynn well said, both of you. I was just thinking the same thing, especially in my rumination on how the unicursal version of Sol’s use is so much more elegant and streamlined than the old GD method that calls for six separate hexagrams to be done in serial order 😅

Ok, so months ago I had my very first out of body experience, I passed out and saw this visual with my eyes closed, it happened to be the unicursal hexagram. I went through a warp, as best described, I was blinded by lights and then I was on this ship with the insectoids looking down at me (From the galactic federation of light), idk if there’s anything you can make from my experience, but I just wanted some more insight from anyone or you. I’m also type I bipolar (clinically diagnosed). It’s just been on my mind these past couple months and I’m not sure what it means. In the past I’ve had dreams of the greys, or encountered people who are close to me who have also had encounters with the draconians. Ever since I started taking seraquil all the dreams of them have gone away, no terrible side effects, thankfully, and able to stay out of behavioral units. Idk, someone spare me some insight. One last thing, great video and also, why are we chosen to see stuff like this? Is it a bloodline thing?

93s I'd like to just add that Crowley himself used the averse pentagram at times because the practitioner should consider himself on his head in his ritual work in the age of horus to achieve a universal instead of a solar orientation. Those who believe the pentagram should be inverted are taking averse to mean inverse, given the proper orientation of the practitioner is up side down in this age. Personally, I can see the argument for it being inverted in such cases if that interpretation of Crowley's comments on magick in the age of Horus means what they think it means. Personally, I think averse means "as if viewed from the back" with the orientation of right and left flipping, around the center axis rather than along the horizontal. If a horizontal flip does occur, it would be of all of the practitioner such that it might be true that from the outside looking in, the pentacle may appear inverted, but from the practitioners perspective it would appear normally. An interesting debate for sure. 93s

93 Thank you for sharing. Yes I think that discussion is sort of a subset of what I already said. If the practitioner rotates the orientation of the symbols to match their orientation, then the symbols are not inverted for the work. The example of the satanic usage of symbols is a true example of someone working with the symbols actually inverted. I'd be interested to hear of more work that actually uses the flipped symbol intentionally. I'm always interested in these deviations. 93 93/93

Do you happen to listen to Bring Me the Horizon? They used to use the Unicursal Hexagram but they sort of adopted it to make it more unique to them and distance themselves from religion/occultism.

Thank you for the informative video. Respectfully, are you ever scared of invoking magical symbols whose meanings you may not fully understand? Given that Kabbalah views the acquisition of knowledge as being required to step closer to godliness, and therefore gives the practitioners motivation to hold information back so as to maintain a power differential, what if you invoke things you are not aware you are invoking?

I’ve been trying to research this symbol on the internet and have seen many people dismiss it quickly by just labeling it as satanic or satan’s star. Do you know why that might be? Genuine noob question. I’m not trolling.

Some people make arguments in bad faith because they have a religious agenda to sell you. They distort reality and sell falsehoods because they believe it buys them points with Jesus. Other people buy into this propaganda and wallow in their own ignorance because it feeds their ego. That combined with the Dunning-Kruger effect and you get people saying the more ignorant things imaginable on the internet.
