HA is pretty important. It should be on both the WAN ports and on the main power. One of my customers has tripple WAN and dual dedicated power circuits as well as dual UPSes. Their entire business depends on WAN as they have offside servers running web apps for every department in the company. They really don't want 70 people standing around unable to work if anything goes down.

I wonder why they put all the power ports on the front and not the back. everything should be on the back except the network interfaces and screen. they can keep the ISP passthrough on the back to keep it cleaner. I also wonder why they have the VRR feature but only have one ISP uplink it should also be an SFP, kind of fixes one problem but not another, if redundancy and high availability then they need to think about FULL redundancy. UDM's also need to have a way to be active/active. typical misses by Ubiquiti especially the way they market this.

Thank you for the review. Question about the PDU Pro. Can those rack ears be mounted on the back sides of the PDU, so it can be located at the back of the rack _inside_ the frame of the rack, so it doesn't extend out the back, or is there only one mounting point for the ears, forcing it to stick out the back of the rack?

I don't find dual power cords really necessary, as if I'm springing for this, I'll likely have a UPS bypass switch in the rack as well. There is a level where you'd want to be able to do maintenance on the bypass switch itself, but if uptime is that critical, you likely have entire redundant racks.

When this becomes available in the EU, I might buy one of these for the office and hook it up to my UPS. The UniFi devices are connected to the UPS right now, so they will go through the PDU instead. I also have the redundant power supply hooked up to each of the UniFi devices. But this is not powered by the UPS. The idea is that if the UPS goes down, I'll have direct backup power into the devices. For this reason, I won't need the RPS connector on the PDU because that would not give me the two independent power lines into the devices. To me, this is the proper way to use the RPS, so for now I have to disagree with you that this needs the RPS port. It's very rare that I disagree with something you say :) But I could just be fixed into my way of thinking and not consider other setups. I really hope that the EU version will have standard C13/C14 plugs instead of household plugs. Sure, keep the four separate ones, but change the rest of them. Our plugs are also slightly bulkier, so maybe they're going to be forced to do this.

My setup is a UDMP -> 24port Enterprise -> Unifi 6 LR & Unifi Nano HD (soon to swap to a unifi 6 Enterprise). I also have my ISPs ONT I need to keep powered on. Power company is talking about starting rolling outages. Work says I need to burn PTO if that happens or find a solution. Work PC is a laptop so its already battery powered. I just need to figure out how to keep the network running for (8 hours?) during outages. Thoughts? (Johnny Danger, @jdngr here btw)

Doesn't look the power input in the rear (1:34) is a cable you can swap out for 240V. If the unit can deliver 15A at 120V, then a 240V circuit feeding it would only draw 7.5A. Anyone in the US using this on a 240V circuit?
