On our way out to Wyoming, my mom and I visited North Platte, Nebraska, home of the world's largest railroad yard. Situated along Union Pacific's busy Overland Route, North Platte sees dozens of daily trains, sometimes more than 80. It was certainly busy during our visit. We visited Cody Park, home up UP "Challenger" 4-6-6-4 3977 and UP "Centennial" DD40AX 6922, then headed to the Golden Spike Tower overlooking Bailey Yard. After that, we spent time at several spots around town. Of course, while we were there, we also visited tourist attractions such as Buffalo Bill's home. We had a great visit; North Platte is certainly a neat place. Hope y'all enjoy this video!
