I think Storrs is the perfect combination of a city vibe and middle-of-nowhere vibe. I love the center of campus, but love Horsebarn Hill. It really feels like home.

Thank you so much for checking in! I am currently a freshman in college at Siena College in Albany NY studying history! I applied to UConn, got in at one of their smaller campuses, decided that wasn't for me, and chose to go somewhere else. I am now thinking about transferring into UConn as a sophomore because the teaching program is better there than my current school.@@jaguarmemez

From an undergrad finishing my freshman year: engineering school is bullshit, you pretty much just pay to teach yourself each class though online homework sites. Wings over is mad expensive. Dhalls close at 7 on Friday and Saturday, so they make you spend money on food. North halls suck. It’s cold as fuck and windy most of the time. Thank god it’s big, there’s always things going on which is my only true positive.

I feel you, but think about having to live there without a car. Without at car, you're stuck at campus and have no means to do something as simple as run errands. I've heard from lots of students that the situation is actually depressing and really weighs them down.

Storrs is a lot more developed than it was 15-20 years ago. These days I don't think I'd have a problem living around campus there. Storrs actually feels like a little city now. It's almost doubled in size since I was living in Mansfield back in the 90s.

Uconn is a huge party school, there are so many more colleges to attend that are much better academically. The majority of people that go here either go here for sports ( scholarships) alumni parents or just pure convenience/ affordability ( they live in ct)

Thanks Crista ray 99. I don't really, because, a few years after graduating from UConn, I went to graduate school at UMass Lowell and got a Master's degree in Plastics Engineering, so now I'm a Plastics Engineer in the medical device industry. And you know what they say about Plastics Engineers, that we're the athletes and the eyecandy of the Engineering profession (hence my KZitem handle). So now my role is more ornamental than functional. So what are you up to?
