The University of New Mexico's (UNM) Center for Advanced Research Computing (CARC) premiered it's "Big Data to Knowledge" (BD2K) video at the 2013 Supercomputing Conference (SC13) Technical Exhibition in Denver, Colorado, November 17-21, 2013. The video highlights nine researchers from the University of New Mexico and the challenges and excitement involved in the complex process of translating very large datasets into new discoveries and understanding. Louis Scuderi, Director, CREATE; Gil Gonzales, Chief Information Officer, Information Technology (IT); Scott Ness, Associate Director, Cancer Research and Treatment Center (CRTC); Karl Benedict, Director, Earth Data Analysis Center (EDAC); Bob Waide, Director, Long Term Ecological Research (LTER); Rebecca Koskela, Director, DataONE; Trilce Estrada, Assistant Professor, Computer Science Department; Joe Galewsky, Associate Professor, Earth and Planetary Sciences, and Susan R.
