I have observed these flashing lights three times in the last three years. Twice in North Carolina and once in Arkansas. I have always seen two of them in the same region of the sky and blinking at different rates. I find the way they blink to be unique in the sky, they are not like a strobe light on a plane there is a slight fade in and out and they are not usually as bright as a plane strobe and there is a long pause between blinks. At first i was thinking space junk as well, they look like i could imagine a tumbling rocket body . . but they can't be space junk in LEO say (250-350 miles out), because the speed of their drift was too slow for orbit, they would have fallen back to earth. Just look at how fast the ISS transits the sky. . .it is in LEO. They are not space junk in high orbit because that is too far out to see something that size at ~~ 30,000 miles. . . you just couldn't see even a large rocket body that far away with the unaided eye. .. So the terrestrial options I have come up with are some sort of strobe on a weather balloon, or drones. I am going to paste this comment on any of the other videos which I can find and maybe someone will reply with some other options or quality descriptions of their similar experiences. I am not aware of strobes on balloons, and if there are drones this high over such a large area, then it is secret. I did see another video of them from Australia too, so this is not a U.S. phenomenon. this is the only such UFO I have ever seen, but it was the same pattern and it was multiple times. I am really skeptical of explanations like aliens or the supernatural. Please post with other possibilities.

Thanks for the upload! Now I know I'm not crazy about this. Now I have something to reference. I walked outside around 3:30 a.m. here at the central coast of Texas to put the garbage out on the road. I looked up to stare gaze for a few minutes before heading inside. After a few minutes I seen this exact flash about 3 times but it was stationary with no noises about. The flashes were very bright. Much to bright to an aircraft especially at that altitude. I was considering maybe it was a star exploding. This is exactly why I always take moments to look up. Another time I seen 3 lights zig zagging eachother EXTREMELY fast across the night sky at an VERY high altitude with a very slight sound of cutting through the air. I still can't explain that nor forget.

I wrote a comment above. We saw these flashes, at least TEN times on August 22 of this year. They were very bright/brilliant. When the flash was gone, we couldn't see anything, until the next one, which was always in a different position, as if moving. Check out my comment for more. You're not crazy, nor are my husband and I. We saw what we saw, but WHAT was it? Extraterrestrial is a possibility. If any of us think we are alone in the Universe they are the crazy ones.

Omg I've seen exactly what you described to a t. The first time I was around 8 years old when me and two of my friends saw what looked like stars (obviously they weren't) zig zagging at an extremely fast speed that I have never seen before. That was yeaaaaaaars ago. Then the second time was about 3 years ago and I saw the exact same thing except this time it was just one by itself zig zagging in formations that again I've never seen before in all of my years of living. Then it just disappeared. It truly took my breath away.

Matter of fact this phenomena is very common here. I saw the flashes again last night 5/24/2020 about 10:30-11pm here at my parents house. Sometimes they move across the sky very hard to see, faint. Other times they are stationary where they flash and disappear. I’m posting this hoping someone can possibly confirm what they are. We live in Phoenix, Arizona. On August 22nd, we were out in our hot tub. Not only did we see several meteorites, we also saw this 'flashing light' except every time it flashed is was brilliant, and when it didn't flash, we couldn't see it. It would show up in another part of the sky, and another, as if it were going in a certain direction. And then at one point, the bright but intermittent flashes showed in a different direction, heading towards the horizon. The last, brightest flash of light, I could almost make out what looked to be an oblong/rectangular shape around it. It seemed to be gone, we were relaxing in the hot tub, when about 15 minutes later, it flashed one more time right above us!

These are vehicles. I know because I've seen them multiple times, after the flash, if they are low enough and your vision is good, you can see a faint outline after the flash and you can see it move about in not straight lines. Also they can teleport across the night sky. My guess is they are showing off their tech.

Thanks for uploading this! I've also seen this once before, someone told me it was probably a brief reflection from a satellite. However, earlier today I saw it again: Multiple flashes, some up to 1 second long and they emerged always from the precise same spot in the sky (not near the equator so it couldn't have been a stationary satellite). It lasted for 2 minutes, with around 10-20 seconds between flashes. The flashes weren't purple-white as in your video but more yellowish. I am so curious now what caused them.

Eveytihing is in motion relative to everything else, so it would be low probability to have no difference in vector between yourslelf and the event. I live in Las Vegas. I've been watching these lights almost every morning for the last 9 months. This morning there are only two that I can see with the naked eye. Sometimes there are 5 or more. Looking thru binoculars, you can see red, green & white lights flashing. They aren't satellites, those move very fast across the sky w/o any blinking lights. I've also seen very large drones, very low directly over residential areas. And the are not recreational drones. They are large aircraft size. When I try to video with my phone, the videos never turn out or disappear from my phone. Not sure what is happening to our beautiful starry skies. But these lights can't be explained away with light refraction, the atmosphere, aircraft or satellites.

It is very bright and blinks 3 times and the last blink it actually dims and dies out. This is not a reflection from space junk or satellite. It was on the west side one night and the east side the next. Now tonight both times was on the east side. Unless you see it, I know others will think it's a reflection, you can not understand what we are seeing. I have seen the same blinking phenomenon for about 2 weeks now. It is always around 8:50pm and 10:30pm. The first time I saw it it was around 12:30am. I am in Australia in the outskirts of the south west of Sydney. It is roughly 60° - 70° NW. Last week it was in between ‘k Ophiuchus’ and ‘Marfic’ stars, in Ophiuchus constellation. I will keep an eye for it an see if I can get a caption like this one, which is the closest video I have see to what I have experienced so far. Also have been able to spot it from my telescope and like some of the comments it does not move while it is flashing in intervals of about 9 seconds. The longest interval was 24 second and the shortest is about 6-7 second. Very interesting phenomenon and hard to find any sort of description of it until I came across this video. Look forward to others insight on what it could be, but one thing for sure I doubt is that it is a satellite or derby space junk, giving it behaviour.

I see things like this every month sometimes every weekly.. i dont know what are these, first when i saw one i thought thats a supernova but no. By the way i got a little story, my cousin shouted "Come out come out" then i was like What? He said look up how beautiful is this star! Then i look up and it got bigger and bigger and brighter then suddenly faded away within like 1 sec. (Sorry for my bad english)

I saw this over the last year or so. Last year i saw 5 flashes create a circle then it flew off. The other night saw three flashes in the same area of three stars quite amazing then all of a sudden loads of satellites converged to that area ....makes you wonder

Long story short (bcuz otherwise would be sitting here writing a descriptive novel on every little detail), I've noticed a lot of strange things in the sky as well over the years. Including today. Keep forgetting to buy a darn telescope though 🤦♂️. And also, thank you for sharing bro. 🤓👍

They are either meteorites passing by closely or electromagnetic solar storms.....i remember back in the 1980's as a child , I would play outside in the summertime at night and the sky would be clear with stars out, but would see flashes and sometime thunder...but no storm

This looks very similar to what I saw last night. While contemplating the clear, night sky. Then, by chance, I happened to be directly looking st the area in the sky where a camera flash appeared. It seemed like someone took a picture of me. From way up there. That is how unusually it was. I work outside at night in low light conditions, away from the city. So in clear nights I can appreciate the night sky view. A couple of times, from the corner of my eye, I thought I saw what looked like a camera flash, a very unusual sight. But I was not certain of what had just caught my attention. I would stare at the spot but I would not see any further evidence. Last night I was fortunate to catch it right on. It is awesome to experience it. I decided to search for feedback and I see I'm not the only one.

Great video! I have noticed these too. I am old and I can say I have never seen this going on in the past. I watch a lot of satellites and when they pass over you can still see them even though they dim. These I never seen anything before or after they flash. I speculated they could be something like starlink satellites turning and causing sun light to flash off of their solar panel. That's my best guess. I have noticed them Northern, Southern and Western parts of the sky, but not eastern. Eastern is when the earths shadow is.

Not a bad theory, but not so. They are not satellites at all. I'm in Australia and the flash lights are all over the world.. Amazing.

I got your reply Alan, thank you. I can assure you those flashes are Not any form of satellite, not Starlink and not any Nasa or anything. I've been watching satellites for 60 yrs and done astronomy for same. After they flash, these things can just sometimes be seen AND they don't just go West to East or Nth to Sth and Sth to Nrth as satellites almost always do. I have a powerful 'scope and camera and I assure you Alan I also know what they are. However, find my other posts and see. Thank you mate.

@@Ofusteve I noticed these flashes about two or so years ago. I posted it and was told its satellite flare. Its caused by the satellite turning to keep the sun on the solar panels. I've never seen the ISS do it.

I saw something like this around 0400 this morning after the last most dim flash another light which I thought was a satellite went to the area where the flashes were. The “satellite “ never appeared again in the sky along its original path. Just thought it was strange. Never seen anything like this before. Glad I’m not the only one

Ive seen a lot these kind of flashes, and i live in a fairly big city with a lot of light pollution. And now that we are locked inside ive dedicated some time looking at the sky at night and in the 4 most recent events this weeks, these lights appear to be right above like in a 90 degree angle.

Best guess, old Russian satellite in a Molniya (highly elliptical) orbit. The flashing would be the sun reflecting off of one that is tumbling. I saw this through my telescope blinking for about 1 second every 10 or so seconds over the course of 5 minutes. The blink would show up at a lightly different location than the one before, i.e. I had to slightly recenter the scope each time, so it was not a satellite in a geostationary orbit.

I see these same flashing lights as well I looked more into it and the most logical explanation was that these are satellites designed to flash every so often so whoever can track them and make sure they are still stable

this could be explained... (this is just my theory) its something from a manmade spacecraft floating around in space, not ufo. its from either a satellite. a recent rocket launch. or... yeah. they're way high up so the sun reflects light to them. and this one seems to be spinning.

IM IN KANSAS CITY MO. USA. I SAW THIS SAME LIGHT A MONTH AGO DIRECTLY OVERHEAD AT 247 AM TRAVELING WEST TO EAST AND AGAIN A WEEK LATER AT 1029 PM THE LIGHT WAS IN THE NORTH TRAVELING WEST TO EAST. THE FIRST TIME I SAW IT I COULDNT UNDERSTAND IT. IT CHANGED COLORS EACH TIME IT APPEARED, AND AT RANDOM, ALWAYS A BLUE, WHITE, OR GREEN GLOW LIKE A METEOR, I THOUGHT IT WAS A METEOR SKIPPING OFF THE ATMOSPHERE LIKE A ROCK ACROSS A LAKE. BUT QUICKLY REALIZED THAT DIDNT MAKE ALOT OF SENSE. ALSO IT SEEMED THERE WAS NO PATTERN TO WHEN IT WOULD RE APEAR, MAYBE IT WAS MY LINE OF SIGHT? HOWEVER THE NEXT WEEK WHEN I SAW IT AGAIN IT WAS DOING THE SAME THINGS, SLOWER THAN A METEOR BUT FASTER THAN A PLANE. STARTED THINKING IT WAS A SATELITE BUT WHY WOULD THEY NEED LIGHTS? IVE BEEN HEARING THINGS ABOUT THE NEW SPACE FORCE HAVING A SHIP THAT STAYS IN UPPER ATMOSHPERE/LOW ORBIT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME, IF TRUE THEN MAYBE THIS IS IT? IM DYING TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON HERE.

AM I CORRECT IN UNDERSTANDING THAT MOST OF THE SIGHTINGS ARE NOT TRAVELING? SATELITES CANNOT STAND STILL? NOR DO THEY CHANGE SPEEDS? IF IT WAS CLOSE TO THE PLANET IT WOULD MOVE ACROSS THE SKY RAPIDLY RIGHT. THE FURTHER AWAY THE SLOWER THE MOVEMENT? TO SEE A LIGHT STATIONARY THAT BRIGHT THAT FAST CLOSE TO THE PLANET DOESNT MAKE A LOT OF SENSE TO ME UNLESS SOMETHING WAS POWERING IT TO STAY STILL, AND THAT WOULD TAKE ALOT OF POWER? IF IT WAS FAR AWAY IT WOULD HAVE TO BE A STELLER EVENT IN WHICH CASE IT WOULDNT BE SO SMALL OR FAST WOULD IT? LIKE SAY A SUPERNOVA WOULD LIGHT UP A LARGER AREA FOR A LONGER PERIOD? WOULD A CAMERA FLASH BE USEFULL AT THAT ALTITUDE? OR A FLARE? WHAT IS IRIDIUM FLARES?
