Video in which I analyze the comparator watch and the magnetic arm that is usually used with the watch. I also show two common uses given to the comparator, check brake drums and brake discs.
History:
The comparator clock
It is a tool to verify irregularities or differences of measure of hundredths of a millimeter
Needle indicating hundredths of a millimeter
Needle indicating millimeters
10 turns of the large needle equals one of the small needle
Indicator to mark what the needle indicates
Screw to set the numerical scale of the large needle
The watch is sold separately from the articulated arm
This articulated arm has the magnetic base (can be activated and deactivated)
Sample 1: check of oval drums because of high temperatures
It takes a lathe for this check (I do not have a lathe)
Sample 2: Testing Brake Discs Deformed by High Temperature
