I also use the Render Stats utility accessed from the right menu when on track. This shows you who much stress all the different effects effect your overall FPS, This way you can hone in on the processes that are using the most CPU/GPU which then you can adjust within content managers graphical settings. Many of the settings can be adjusted and viewed in real time too

mhm.. so Id rather run some lower graphics settings but without the use of FSR FSR makes the game look grainy and horrible, no matter what setting i use. It only looks good if u dont move. Only option i can go with would be "best" quality. My GTX 970 gives me constant 60+ fps without the use of FSR. I tested all combinations, and fidelity wise, for me its better to simply turn some things down and skip on FSR. And run everything on locked 60fps. For instance Glare can be turned down, aswell as some csp graphics settings. Otherwise overclocking will help aswell. But for real potatos the lower FSR options are defenitely important. Luckely the new pure LCS gives us all a slight FPS boost, while also looking better. :) In some games it can help to use the FPS limiter from Riva Statistics tuner (comes with MSI afterburner) Its an old trick but really works in some games. Nobody knows why, but it reduces latency and lag spikes in some games. ah and one bonus trick. We people with potato PCs have one advantage. Most of our graphics cards support SLI or Crossfire. And a 2nd gpu can often be bought for cheap. For instance could anyone run a RX 570 in crossfire or a GTX 960 in SLI and achieve pretty nice framerates for cheap. For instance a GTX 970 SLI setup runs faster then a single 980ti in AC (roughly GTX 1070 niveau) AC is one of the games that work well with 2 GPUS, or atleast with SLI as far as i know. Only drawbacks are more power consumption and heat (could be lowered if u undervolt both cards), u need a mainboard that can take 2 cards and u need to get a 2nd card and a cheap SLI / crossfire bridge and ur video memory does not stack up, so ur bound to the video memory size of a single card. positive is, that it looks damn cool. :D

Funny thing, I actually had some weird FPS drop spikes on my PC when I lowered the graphic settings (without FSR), which made no sense! I did it after seeing a friend with a similar rig getting a smooth 80+ FPS, so I copied his settings, thinking I'd be golden-but nope, mine was still as smooth as a gravel road. The kicker is, I usually get better performance than him in other games! After some trial and error, I finally sorted it out with the settings in this video. Probably had some background apps partying without my permission, or maybe my PC just decided to take the day off. Who knows? 😄

@@digitalvei yeah there are so many variables on PC. Alone AC has billions of options and combinations. And from driver to bloatware a PC can behave totally different. I did a de-bloat once and did latency tuning and disabled any telemetrics and unwanted programs, which defenitely also helps with performance. We have to press out any % possible haha.

At which FPS would you recommend to set the Frame Limiter? Thx for the awesome vid
@digitalvei

I usually subtract -20 to -30 from the maximum FPS that I reached. In my game, I set it to 75, but the indicator would show me 79.

@digitalvei

Tried it before on the same 34" LG monitor with 2160x1440 on the video settings, doesn't make any performance difference on this same presets. I'm reminding myself that 60 to 80 is my threshold with 75 FPS limiter. Higher than 100 FPS without the limiter means that the graphic quality can still be improved via the settings to get the stable threshold.

@@RCGangstaZ Give it a try on reducing the post processing effect one step by keeping the FSR setting in quality for example, to improve the framerate. Or, disabling the GrassFX. My rig can only handle "Performance" in FSR if I'm doing the 20 AI races, but I let the other CSP & graphics options unchanged, getting 50-60 FPS with barely noticeable dropped graphic quality is good enough for this kind of races.

Hi. I applied two of your presets but they aren't the best for me, somehow the game became "laggy" for the steering wheel input, like the latency got higher. Is there a way to revert to a previous preset if it wasn't saved? Unfortunately I can't remember how exactly my CSP was set up.
@digitalvei

That I'm not sure, try disabling the DXGI first, and see how it goes. And also I don't think you can revert to an unsaved one.

always safe ur settings before u try out the settings of other people no matter what u do / which game u play. Otherwise rolling everything back manually is pretty annoying and takes long. ive been there lol
