You are a jenious! You just revealed a deeper classification of tetrachord and trichord based scales. The pentatonic scales being the latter. In my culture (Greek) the number 4 is HUGE in importance and is EVERYWHERE: From color theory, technology, cosmology, anthropology etc everything comes in fours....SO no wonder that Aristoxenos developed a tetrachord theory in the Hellenistic period. BUT in the Greek region of Eperos the folk music is pendatonic based as is most of the Ancient Greek melodies .... so you showed that this music is based on the number three: Which is very weird and bewildering. A VERY INTERESTING KNOT TO UNRAVEL .... THANX!

🙏 THIS IS THE BEST PRACTICAL EXPLANATION - of How to CONSTRUCT a "7(SEVEN) Note Scale" (THE GAMUT: The Musical Space) from the addition (pilling up) 2(TWO) TETRACHORD (Lower + Upper): This gives rise to an innumerable set of possibilities to create innumerable MELODIES which are specific to different human EMOTIONS. Please correct me - if I'm wrong. 😊 I subscribed, in fact, I landed here as I was searching for an explanation about the Ancient Greek Music Theory - TETRACHORDS.

@@NXISEWOLF Been spending some time working with these, can i use non-gendered chords such as dominant 7/sus chords in these scales for chord progressions?

Hey! You can IF the scale allows for it. However, if it doesn’t, you still can but you will need to understand borrowed chords etc! Don’t worry, I’ll work on a video about it soon! :)
