Hi Mandy, I agree with Cee Mar! That is my favorite part of the video. Your detailed description of yourself in the puzzle and what you can see yourself doing now and then later you're going to . . . , etc. In today's video you forgot your purse and it got into the photo -- I really did smile! I've come to expect that and look forward to the beginning of each video. Also, your idea of sorting according to sections was a good one also. Keep up the good work! Kristi

The dog inside the puzzle brings the “cute” factor. I notice a lot of puzzles have a cat or kittens or puppies thrown in there are a way to appeal to animal lovers and families in general. This Hershey’s jigsaw puzzles is very nice.

I agree lol. I always joke that theirs a random animal in the pictures with no one else around. Hershey has quite a number of very pretty sets. I'm hoping to pick up another two when I head back to the park this summer.

Very similar to my kind of process! I never used to sort in the past, but I'm glad I've gotten in the habit of it. Even though it can take some time, I feel like in the end it makes the solving easier instead of just looking at one big pile of pieces.

I grew up near Hershey. We could often smell the chocolate. When the wind came in the right direction. My grandfather was friends with Milton Hershey. I have looked at Hershey puzzles, but have yet to pick one. I wish they would have people in the pictures.

Oh I love the smell of chocolate wafting through the air, how wonderful. That's so cool that your grandfather was friends with Hershey! I really do love these sets, but you're right, I never realized they had no people in them lol.

I'll never forget driving into Hershey, PA and smelling all the chocolate. It just filled the air!! What an adorable image and yeah, shouldn't put your purse on the ground - unless you're hoping the puppy crawls in so you can sneak off with it. 🤣😂 💜🧩

They really are strong puzzles, and the image print is great. I'm glad I have a couple more from them, but I'm sure I'll be growing that collection as well.

I'm always interested to see how people approach doing their puzzles. When I get puzzles, either new or second hand, I count to check all the pieces are there and separate the outside pieces which go in a small bag inside the main bag. When I do a puzzle I put all the pieces out on trays and then pick an area of the image I wish to start on and get busy. My trays are catering trays about 12" x 16" which allows me to spread all the pieces out so that I can see them easily. Don't really sort unless it is a gradient puzzle with distinct colours. I do my puzzles on foam core boards. Your Hershey puzzle was a good one as it allowed you to sort the pieces into various sections. There is no right or wrong way to do a puzzle, it's whatever method works for you. Look forward to your next video. 😊

I never thought to count to check all the pieces are there. Probably something I should consider when I start completing my used puzzle sets! Catering trays is a great idea, that's a much bigger space than my sorting trays. My sorting really depends on the image I'm working with, and I've started to try to figure out different ways I can go about separating the pieces to get the whole job done quicker. But like you said, no wrong or right way! As long as it works for you and you're having fun!

@@thepuzzledmandy I haven't forgotten the time when a new puzzle had a lot wrong with it! I counted 980 pieces but on doing it found 7 outside doubles, 4 outside missing, 45 inside doubles, 70 inside missing and 2 stray pieces. I started to find it funny when I kept finding the doubles. 🤣The company was most apologetic, a rare occurrence and sent a replacement.

Before my sorting days, I would also just pull out the edges from the pile and work from there. Either way it's all fun!
