There have been a number of requests for me to cover Frazetta. In this video I’m going to be looking at a painting and then copy it and try to understand the principles that were laid down.
I start with charcoal and the move on to oils. I love Frazetta and he will always be my early influences.
This video’s purpose is to appreciate Frazetta’s work but also to enjoy the excellence that it is.
The colors I’m using are - Van Dyke Brown, Burnt Umber, Raw Umber, Light Red, Flake White and a touch of gray. I’m using Liquin as a medium and odorless mineral spirits. I’m also using synthetic flat brushes.
Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
