Hannah Chapman is a founder of Ngā Wai Hōhonu and a trustee for Te Ora Hou Aotearoa. She is the representative for her whānau whānui engagement with the Crown and local government entities in the only whānau treaty settlement in existence.
Dr. Samuel Carpenter is a Research and Professional Teaching Fellow at Laidlaw College. He has worked as a historian for the Waitangi Tribunal, followed by the Office of Treaty Settlements, the Crown Law Office, and most recently, Te Arawhiti (Office for Māori Crown Relations). In 2021, he completed a Ph.D. thesis exploring texts that reshaped ideas of political community and authority in nineteenth-century Māori and European worlds.
