Oh, it was all going to be so simple - a finger snap and a video edit to the painted and working steampunk penny arcade game 'management' machine. I think machine is the right term, considering how many individual mechanisms are involved.
Needless to say, having applied a thin coat of paint, none of the mechanisms worked and the machine was defunct. I know how much my lovely viewers like to see me struggle against adversity, so thought it worthwhile to share my latest endeavours!
Thankfully I have finally managed to get it working again, have learned a load of new stuff in the process, and hope my newly gained knowledge will be of interest...
I hoped this video would simply be: paint everything, then get your kindly suggested chimes/bells working. However, once I started experimenting with chimes and bells, it was fascinating. So I decided that would be the topic for the next video.
Please keep the ideas coming. Once the scoring bells and chimes are sorted out, it's finally onto the actual game play! Talk about working backwards...
