In my opinion it's probably one of the most hilarious shows (not necessarily intentionally hilarious) I've seen. I think the actors and actresses are really good and riverdale is just one of the shows that started off some of their careers. Ex. Camila mendes, casey cott, Ashleigh murray, KJ apa, I hadn't known or heard of them before but thanks to Riverdale im definitely interested in seeing more films and tv shows from them.

I love Haley Ru Richardson from the movies she’s been in, so her as the main character seriously piques my interest. As for the subject matter, I highly doubt that this is going to be as much of a comedy as the trailer makes it out to be. It’s going to have more serious moments. This trailer reminds me of the one for The Edge of Seventeen. Harsh stuff happens but the trailer doesn’t give those great moments away. I’m sure the film won’t treat this as something totally 100% okay and make light of it the whole way through when obviously that’s not what everyone thinks. I’m personally looking forward to it.

Before you criticize you should read the book. She didn't want to get pregnant, she wasn't careless. Her boyfriend poked holes in their condom (obviously without telling her) and she really freaked out because she wasn't ready to be a mom, not even close. Bailey just made her forget that awful situation for moments along their journey. The book points out important things such as woman's rights to decide, woman's right to her own body. Veronica and Bailey were teenagers and this whole thing wasn't their fault at all so please try to understand. Thank you.

yo! you honestly seem like an empathetic person with reasonable critical thinking skills so I want to discuss this with you cuz i find the whole premise repulsive and you dont. so, with regards to a womans "right to chose" to have an abortion, when does it end? like, the longer a situation matures (all situations, not just abortions), the ammount of viable choices is reduced. in your opinion when is the woman's right to chose to end a pregnancy no longer morally acceptable? what does the book say about it?

I don't have answers to those very complicated questions that abortion brings up and I admit that Veronica wasn't perfect or anything. Everything depends on the situation and I just wanted to tell more details about this one because the trailer didn't show everything. I understand that the book divides opinions like it should. Everyone should read it first and then share their opinions. It certainly gives a lot to think about even though it is kinda "light".

If it's in the early stages, I'm not exactly comfortable with it, but I think there's a worthwhile argument to be made for pro-choice. However, the boyfriend in this trailer seemed like he actually does want to have a child from this pregnancy, so that leaves me feeling very uncomfortable with this premise (it's like a man telling a want-to-be mother that she's getting the procedure whether she wants it or not).
@advayrajesh1089
4 жыл бұрын
@@darkmoon2503 I would understand what you're saying if she was a responsible adult, but she's not. It looks in this trailer and the other ones that she is in high school, which means you can't really judge her for making a mistake as she is a minor (Kids mess up a lot) . Let's say hypothetically that she goes along with giving birth; she will take more of the brunt of a child than her boyfriend, as she would be the mother. Being a teen mom is pretty detrimental to one's future. I don't think anyone should be punished for a mistake they did in high school. Now if she was an actual adult, that's another story. I wouldn't call myself pro-abortion, but pro-choice. I do believe that it should be a last- resort option for women.

@@mysterioustiings9909 It is a growing human being. Using the word "fetus" to imply that it is "not human yet" is just as stupid as saying that just because a human is in the "baby stage" it is not human yet because if left to take care of itself it would die, or that it is not human yet because it is a "toddler", or a "child" or an "adolescent". Just because the growing human is still attached to the mother and has not gone through the birth canal does not make it any less human. Study biology. Humans go through growth stages until their life here on Earth ends. The female of every living animal produces offspring in this way. It is not a "growth" on the woman's body - it is a separate individual life that is developing. Everybody knows this, it is common sense - but people like to use words like fetus so that they can live with their guilty conscience when they kill it.

We kill life all the time and we don’t seem to care. Plants, animals for meat/hunting. We allow people to be murdered, children to die of starvation but yet you lot are more concerned with a life that won’t even be considered viable yet since most abortions are done before 12 weeks so we’d have no idea she’d miscarry anyway. And what about womens lives? Don’t women deserve a shot at a decent life by letting them decide their own futures? Murdering a baby is not YOUR choice since your taking the life of another human. Let me put it this way snowflake, if you get in your car are you all of a sudden the car? No. If you get in your house are you now the house? No. The unborn child has its very own genetic material, limbs, organs,etc. Meaning that the child is a whole different person from you, just because they grow inside you does not make them you or your “choice” to kill. Scary how the normalization of a serious medical procedure that ends the life of a human being, performed out of state on a minor without their parent’s knowledge or consent with the assistance of a peer treating the behavior as normal is treated as a funny road-trip movie premise.
@impicklerick7510

@@rachelrobbins1409 A clump of cells is not a human being, also why would consent be needed from the parents? Its not the parents who have to struggle with the pregnancy, they don't have to deal with giving birth, and they're not legally responsible for the child after they're born. Why should anyone sacrifice their future in order to care for a child they don't want? Forcing someone to carry a child they don't want hurts both the mother and child.

I hope they show the psychological and physical effects of having an abortion (before and after). I'm not against early term abortion (with the obvious exceptions for rape, incest, and health of mother) but I feel it's important to show the whole picture. Especially for a topic as serious and controversial as this. If they don't make it a campy coming of age film (like the trailer implies) it could be really powerful and something to help woman grappling with this issue.

Jellybish yeah but there is help for that, no one talks about the physiological damage from an abortion. I’ve had friends with nightmares, ptsd, depression, anxiety, scarring, can’t have kids- no one told them any of this and they all regret it. Also in the case of rape/incest it’s sad no one ever goes after the man in that case and actually have true justice. We kill the baby and don’t care for the child raped, the damage of the before and after, nor the rapist still free. It’s dark and sad the layers it all goes :(

There's a novel similar with this where the perfect girl with the perfect life asks help fron this other girl so she could have her abortion so they go on a road trip. She got pregnant because her boyfriend poked holes in the condom. Not sure why but I think its because they were about to graduate and the guy wanted to keep the perfect relationship with the girl cause it makes him feel better. She also cut ties with her friends who wanted to sleep with her boyfriend and yeah did end up being friends with that 'unpopular 'girl.
