I go back than watch and apply with combinations 3rd time. Now I feel such a smooth control on these basics and I don't feel Unreal such a hard puzzle anymore. These tips even helps to 80 percent of base of my many basic projects about instance materials, randomness to texture, overlay normals etc. I can tell what changed, I feel myself a user with some comfort. Probably that was the one of main goals. Thank you guys for the way you are doing.

Hey guys! been following the unreal tutorial until part 8! soooo awesome.. Thank you so much! i actually want to ask something tho.. do we need to have a great PC setup? Mine is currently running on a GTX 1050 with 32GB DDR2 RAM and an Intel Core i5 processor. The engine still seems capable enough for me to follow the tutorial up to this point, but I'm worried that when I use 'lit' mode, the FPS drops to around 24 FPS and turns yellow. Is it okay for me to continue with this tutorial, guys?

I looked at JSplacement , and it seems like I could write a program in C# to replicate that functionality. I'll try to do that, generate a random image with specifications and filters, then save that image and the normal map.

Dear Bad Decisions Studio, your tutorial has been a great help for an 0 unreal knowledge people like me to learn it. I have one question that really bothering me and I cant find the answer on the internet. In your Dart Maul video we saw you modified the shape of the body but not the proportion of the body as in the height and such. would that be possible in Unreal to change the proportion of the metahuman body without destroying the rig. Lets say we want our character to be more stylized you know like Bayonetta proportion. Thankyou for the awesome video. Im not sure if you will respond to this comment but in case you read it perhaps one day you could do another video tutorial. thankyou for your hard work

I have some confusion regarding the material UV tiling. In blender, the UV's are unique for each object. To scale the UV of the material on an object, you change the UV size of the object, without changing the material. But here, we need to change the "MF tiling" of the material instance whenever we want to scale the UV... what if I have a complex scene with hundreds of differently scaled objects using the same material, that each need a custom UV scale? Do I need a material instance for every single one...?

How come you did not have to UV unwrap the models you modeled in UE ? and why did you not use a post precessing volume ? Thanks for the tuto's bro's.
@badxstudio
6 ай бұрын
6:00 minute in we do UV Unwrap :D Please check it out! And post process volume is coming in a later chapter we cover it completely and in detail alongside render settings for raytracing and pathtracing. That's one of our most important chapters that we are uploading tomorrow. And you are right ... Post process volume should be added in the beginning of every project, but since this was made for beginners we had to cover modeling and materials before we could show the effect of bloom and exposure and so on in the scene.

One tip: you needn't add the extra parameter and multiply node to the emissivity to make it glow. You can just click on the emissive color and in the Value field (as in H for Hue, S for Saturation and V for value) just type a number higher than 1. The slider won't let you take it higher than 1 but you can type a higher value, like 10. Same result. Fewer nodes. 🙂
