Proof had to die, he had to OD and experience a near death situation for Em to get tamed down. Now he has turned into a gentleman and speaks in the language of flowers lol.

Im 28 years old and i just found out about the age discrimination in music a few months ago. It doesn't make any sense to me. People becoming instagram influencers, comedians, actors, in their 30's. Every where i look i see labels dont sign artists in their 30's but I have yet to see an explanation as to why. If it's because they think the young audience only wants to hear people their age, thats false. Because saint jhn is 35 and all his fans are young, clever is 36 and all his fans are young. Fivio foreign is in his 30's and all his fans are young. And many more i haven't mentioned are in their 30's aka got popular in their 30's and have fans in their 20's, so thats a lie. So what is it? I dont want to have to stop doing my purpose that im really good at it as everyone knows and says just because of my age aka a number next to my name. I look young so why does it matter if i get signed at 31,32 or 33? Early 30's? If im lucrative isnt that all a label wants? An artist that has a fanbase and makes money?

Theres this pressure for people to be successful by age 17. Plus Hollywood is inbred by whos-whos and their children, so the teenagers have access to opportunities and can make it by age 17. Its annoying. Most of the older artistswhether its acting or music etc have more substance because of their maturity. And they have longevity, ironically. Exhibit A: Jennifer Lawrence. She was the It Girl back in 2015, in her early twenties or younger. Her Oscar definitely came too soon but she was the Chosen One. Within FIVE years she went on hiatus. Exhibit B: Al Pacino and Morgan Freeman. They both became successful at age 31 and 40ish (respectfully). And they’re still making tons of films. Granted, Al Pacino did have a brief moment where he was struggling with alcohol and needed a break from fame. I believe he took a two year hiatus(?) but it took him pretty much another decade just to win ONE oscar-much to the outrage of the public-but he is regarded as one of the greatest talents there is. Jennifer isnt even 30 yet and already has an Oscar and is considered an average actress. Exhibit C: Ciara/Chris Brown/Xtina/Britney: these performers are still successful but 3/4 of them arent even singing much anymore and arent the #1 sellers anymore and they are barely 40. Even Rihanna has put her music on hold and focusing on other things. The burnout is real. Some dont even have 20 years on their resume. Eminem started 20+ years ago as an adult and is still the most successful rapper of all time with longevity because he had already developed his craft, material, and quite possibly his sense of self. Alot of the younger people get into the industry not knowing what they want or who they are and they cant handle what the contract comes with or cant produce quality material bc they are so young. Long read but i feel your pain ab this. The entertainment industry is wack and discriminatory.

All of you are hysterical to me! 😆 First, people don't even realize how many great beats Em has produced for his own catalog as well as for others, a lot of which turned out to be chart topping hits in their own right! He never gets the credit he deserves for being an A1 producer while also being the GOAT of Hip-hop in terms of lyrics & just being the overall best Emcee whether it comes to going bar for bar, streams for streams, sales numbers for sales numbers or any other objective statistical data you want to compare, he's unequaled! Don't believe me, go Google all the beats he's credited on & while you're at it, check out all the other accolades, awards, statistics & just general broken records he's achieved with- his records, of course!😉 Definitely not saying he's superior to Dre as far as producing goes, just dropping facts. Btw, Em is going to end 2021 as the year's 2nd most streamed Hip-hop artist for albums streamed on Spotify! He's 2nd, as far as Hip-hop goes & 6th in terms of the music industry as a whole! Drake is the only one in the Hip-hop genre who's ahead of Em for Spotify Album streams in 2021 & he actually dropped an album in 2021, Em did not! That's on top of Em already being the most viewed artist on KZitem! Just more evidence that proves the world is far bigger & way more cultured than whatever ghetto these corny Generation Z mumble rap fans are clearly stuck in. Who btw, seem entirely incapable of even waking up to shit at night without feeling compelled to fire off random poop tweets desperately attempting to convince the rest of the world, who obviously didn't get the memo, that this old whiteboy Eminem is completely irrelevant & needs to be canceled ASAP! They demand that us clueless people in the rest of the real world, shelve Em in favor of these much cooler & edgier mush mouth rappers such as Lil Uzi Vert or Travis Scott!, 'Artists' who clearly feel they need the help of things like autotune, theatrics & totally tired gimmicks like Satanism & crossdressing like females in order for them to do big numbers in the industry! Which I shouldn't have to even acknowledge how appallingly lame, unoriginal & straight cringe all of that is. Nevermind the overwhelming smack of irony that's inherent anytime a person feels the need to attempt to inform others that anyone, or anything for that matter, is 'irrelevant!' 😅 If they're irrelevant you don't need to tell people! Which is why you never see random posts anywhere ranting about how irrelevant, hated and completely trash Takashi Snitch-Nine is & he's by far the most despised figure in Hip-hop history. Or, where are all the posts telling me how lame & irrelevant Vanilla Ice is? He'd even agree that he's irrelevant! It's because nobody would ever even think to post something so obvious. I mean, who doesn't know that already?! Why would you care enough in the first place? Telling someone Vanilla Ice is irrelevant is an irrelevant thing for someone to even attempt! It's like ranting about snow being white! 🤣😝

Weird Al roasted the dickens out of Eminem for the "you know what I'm sayin" stuff. It was beautiful. (check link starting around 35s) kzitem.info/news/bejne/kYeF35VvZp6ohKA

Damn he turned into everything he was against back then "I am not a collaborator, when I buy a DMX album I want to hear DMX, when you have only one verse on every song on YOUR own album, that's cheatin'" "The most important thing is to write a good hook, a hook makes a song, nowadays the underground rappers only rap lyricle myricle bullshit" Now he has pop features on almost every song or can't produce a decent sounding hook and raps lyricle myricle bullshit like in Godzilla "vanilla gorilla" or gnat "sodium podium" etc. and can't make a good sounding hook anymore, just sad how trash he is nowadays

MTBMB was filled with solid rap features in the likes of Black Thought, King Crooked etc. Pop features on almost every song?? The only pop feats he had on it was Ed Sheeran and his ongoing collaborator Skylar Grey. That's 2 pop feats on a 20 track album You've just cherry picked everything, of course all songs is "trashy" for you, plus "vanilla gorilla" is a real phrase ( a caucasion male, who is large in stature and body language) that has a meaning and has significance in context??? "I’m Attila, kill or be killed, I’m a killer bee, the vanilla gorilla" all of these things was a nod to his verse on Royce's Caterpillar You just sound like a plain hater at these point

@@rubysbookworm6771 Dude Em's new stuff is musically TRASH, it sounds trash and apart from Godzilla nothing of his almost 40 songs of Side A & B was a hit single, and Godzilla was only that big because of the hook of Juice World who died 1 month prior to the relase of Godzilla, that's the only reason it was a hit. Em from 1998 - 2009 was bigger than Elvis and in the year 2002 he was bigger than Michael Jackson selling 30 million with Eminem Show coming with 8 Mile movie & soundtrack topping #1 with numerous hit singles. Now he is as a musician completely TRASH, lyrically he got better, but who cares when the music is horrific
