Pattadakal, is a complex of 7th and 8th century CE Hindu and Jain temples in northern Karnataka, India. Located on the west bank of the Malaprabha River in Bagalkot district, this UNESCO World Heritage is 23 kilometres from Badami and about 9.7 kilometres from Aihole, both of which are historically significant centres of Chalukya monuments.
The Chalukyas of Badami or Early Chalukyas (543-753 CE) built this large complex of temples for royal commemoration and coronation in Pattadakal. A must-visit if you are visiting Badami.
