Remnants and times are listed below. The Kokomo Beltline comes off of the former Pennsylvania Railroad tracks just south of Markland Avenue. It is owned by Kokomo Grain. It travels south, then west where it eventually crosses the Nickel Plate IMC. Subdivision and takes up street running on Defenbaugh Street. West of Union Street, rails have been removed, but the line continued west on Defenbaugh and eventually veered off to the northwest and split multiple directions to serve industries near Wildcat and Kokomo Creeks. Most of this line seems to have been last used in the late 1980s with the exception of the tracks around the NKP IMC. line, which were in service I believe until the late 1990s. Part of the railroad was supposed to reopen in 2014 to connect with the NKP IMC. line and carry grain trains down to Tiption, Indiana, but plans were scrapped.
