Jeez ... you just don't give up! That hole you dug could have unearthed a wombat with a gold filling :-) I love your enthusiasm! I was over at "that beach" a few weeks ago and all I could find was rust scales probably from old pipes, not coins like you seem to do (with frustrating ease). Keep up the great vids.

Haha! Thanks Rob. Yeah that beach was only good for a day or two, then it 'dried up' due to the movement of sand, I went back late July, and had no luck. It was great while it lasted though. Thanks for the support.

You are in the right place to find gold mate and that’s off the couch and out of bed and out there looking. You’ve gained experience that you wouldn’t have if you had stayed home. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself mate. Good luck out there. Aussie Coin Hunter KZitem

Very true! When reflecting on the trip, during the drive home, I felt that it was worth it. The knowledge and experience gained are as good as gold haha. Thanks Paul.

Digging Australia Gaining and learning from experience is what this life is all about mate. And the only way you do that is by getting out there and doing. I’m glad you thought about it after and realised that, and it’s true it’s as good as gold.

You may want to search for info on The Nights Nights Templar. Magnetic rocks are sometimes found in some of their historic buildings. Some are even known to be from far away locations than where they were used in building towers and Obelisks.

Great video! Good information and Technical investigative work , possibly You missed one of the most important tests that I saw on KZitem. And that is to open a window on the object by filing it with a diamond file or a grinder wheel about a thumbnail size and then. Into the window with a magnifying glass and if you see small nodules or BB size mineralization surrounded by the host Rock then you have a meteorite that contains Rare Earth minerals. Possibly haha LOL another indication is high heat wear on the object indicating it hurtling into the atmosphere and heating up!

Thank you Jan! I will look into that. There are quite a few 'DIY' tests mentioned online, it's unfortunate that none give a clear 100% answer! Thanks again!

Does not look like a meteorite, just a hotrock. To be certain, cut the stone open, or grind a window in it to look for nickel metal flakes to be sure its not a meteorite.

Hey mate, great vids, but one question, do you need a miners rights or any sort of permit to use metal detectors on the beaches here in Western Australia?
@OurPastAu
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I’ve only detected along the East Coast, so wouldn’t be able to give you an accurate answer to that question. I’d recommend contacting ‘The West Oz Prospector’, he’s a great guy with heaps of knowledge... or you could try state government. Best of luck 👍
