Hi Cody, just a small correction: 4T bikes and quads, uses clutch starter, not bendix. One of the first times i saw a bendix on a bike was when KTM started adding starters to 2T bikes. Before that i saw it only on scooters.

While I suppose it’s possible they’re doing something different, this east coast guy learned 50 years ago to pack it with grease and using something reasonably close - bolt or other - and a couple taps on it to unseat any bushings

Tip for knowing what bolt goes where. Put a bolt in every hole. Should all have the same distance between the part and the shoulder of the bolt before getting screwed in. Long bolts in a short hole will stick out further before being screwed in. Short bolts in a long hole will touch or be a shorter distance between shoulder of the bolt and the part. Works great when you weren’t the person who took it apart. Distance of thread engagement should be the same for same diameter bolts

Removing a blind bushing like a manual transmission pilot bushing in the back of the engine crankshaft is done with a clutch alignment tool. You pack the pilot bushing with axle grease and use the alignment tool as a driver remover. By tapping on it with a hammer it forces the grease to apply hydraulic pressure to the back side of the bushing forcing it out of the crankshaft. I've done that quite a few times and it does work, but it is really messy. 🤣

Nearly every part aside from the bottom end of the engine has been replaced inside of 800 hours...and it's still riddled with 'inferior' parts and requires constant replacement / 'upgrades'. Doesn't speak well of Husky.
