The impressive thing is not that you find out about these places, its the commitment to dive into them! Even with drone shots. Whenever we're traveling we generally just want to get wherever we are going. Actually, Rugged Mountain Momma would be the most likely one of us to stop to check out the weird and wacky. Now the steakhouse... we would ALL agree to that stop!!

The original plan was to go to the leaning water tower across Groom Cross. And then we saw the sign for The Big Texan and as we were heading there I saw Cadillac Ranch to the right. I have a backpack with all my gear at all times. Usually the family gives me an additional 15 minutes as they go to the car to relax and I shoot all my broll drone shots. You guys would love the Steakhouse. Melissa said no way to Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica. We did a test run from Chicago to St. Louis and took 17 hours (I stopped at a lot of stops). That was the limit 😂

Ahhhh! This is such an iconic place to stop. We went to both of these spots! Andrew thought he was going to eat allllll that meat! Then he took a good look and 100% reconsidered. 😅 My parents also stopped here with my brothers and sisters and I when I was growing up. What a yummy visit! We missed the ice cream (whaaa??) You can bring cans of spray paint in and spray paint also- when we were there the wind was so bad our drone could not fly and the spray paint others were spraying was flying on everyone 😅 It looks like you had a nice calm visit!!

Weird and Wacky attractions are the best! My friend tried the 72 oz steak also and decided he didn't want to spend the rest of the road trip looking for a restroom. Just glad to be able to make memories with the fam here. My wife is newly Vegan so she did not partake in the Steak eating. Good tip on the spray paint. Last year it was too windy every where we went. This year, we lucked out and I was able to take the drone out most of the time. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.

If I knew I would have planned it. I actually had the leaning water tower across Groom Cross. I did research on it and that was the plan. And The Big Texan signs got us and then I saw Cadillac Ranch by accident. We spent so much time at both of them that it was dark by the time we got to the leaning water tower. Guess we'll have to go back. Something tells me that she thinks every family does this 😂

And I thought that the 7 mountains are weird! Look at this one! Man! I think if someone creates something with the intent of making it art then it's art, if something it's just randomly created with no intention then it's not art! It's all about the intention and the message you want to send. In a museum in Liechtenstein I saw broken glass :) and they saw that as art. Yummy food again! I heard the word juicy and ice cream! Cadillac ranch, very interesting! beautiful colours once again! That app it's great! As for the WHY, well the art has no WHY, it's just art. People love to create, some of us cannot live without creating something, I am the same, I am very creative and if I do not create I am not feeling good. I do not have a reason for creating, I just love doing it! :) Nice drone shot!

I had no idea it was on this road and got lucky we spotted it. We were on the way to The Big Texan after seeing some signs for that. Steak was no joke for sure. The Cadillac Ranch originally located at a different location. Have you seen photos of the Cadillac Ranch before it was spray painted? They were so beautiful. I ate at the Big Texan and stayed during my 2018 Route 66 trip. That was just over a year before I started KZitem. I saw so many amazing places and things in 2018 & 2019 when I was just starting off travel writing and before Adventures in TV-Land began. Had I been making videos then I’d have had some impressive ones (although they would have been so low quality, 😂). Anyway, I loved The Big Texan, both the restaurant and the hotel
