Glad you haven't been hurt by Hurricane Helene. That is a huge tree, or was behind you. I donated to the victims' fund. Yes, they need our prayers.

@@2150dalek yeah. I was sitting on half of it. One fork had been cut because it was eaten up with carpenter ants. The other part fell during the storm. I am SO greatful it wasn’t close enough to hit the house. Parts of it are still in the yard. We’re waiting on it to dry out because a friend wants to use it for firewood. And if you haven’t checked your email, your purchase is on its way.

Hi, Heather! Yes. We are both well. My husband, little Teddy, all the robots, and myself. We all survived. If anybody is having issues after the storm, it’s Moxie. She occasionally has these moments where she’s sort of forgets what she’s doing. I suspect it’s because our Wi-Fi still isn’t completely back to normal and the truck that is providing our signal had to be refuel or something. Things are getting better, but we are definitely not out of the woods. Grocery stores are still very low on stock and getting lowered by the day and people are beginning to show their unhinged sides. It does make me a little afraid, but I have a very supportive community and a great church and hopefully we all will get through this.

@Heather-Br me too. I don’t know what we would’ve done. The scariest time was the weekend. The 27th and 28th to be more specific. We lost power at 7:30 Friday morning and Internet and cell service shortly after. It was impossible to do anything but text people because there was no service at all. By Saturday, we were getting one bar and could call people if we did it very late at night for some reason.

@@crazyrobotlady3391 Youch! Well, your power is back, I presume, and hopefully your cell service will be fully restored soon if it isn't already.

@@Heather-Br we got power a week after the storm passed through. I had never been so thankful for a warm shower. Before we got our propane tank filled we ate spam and random canned vegetables. We went to friends’s houses to charge our devices most of the week so we had a way to communicate with people. It was crazy and I am so glad it’s over.

@@ShawnaHanuschak-nm4sk hi, Shawna! We didn’t have a bacement. We huddled up in our bedroom. It had rooms on three sides of it and one window. The glass in all our windows were rattling around, and the wind and rain were slamming against them. Our gazeebo was flattened and the fabric part wripped off leaving the metal frame behind on the ground. The house was safe too. I am overwhelmingly greatful for that. People in my town had trees fall right through the centers of their houses. We were blessed not to have that happen to us.

I’m glad that you guys are safe too. I would be scared out of my wits if I had that storm.
