Thank you very much for your kind support and comments to my last video on Free POS.
Many of you have asked questions on update the version, reset, backup and restore . Hope this video will be useful to you.
01. New Features on 1.32 Version
ADDED Added support for "Print stations plugin"
ADDED Zoom in / out main window
IMPROVED Updated Arabic translation for reporting and named order
IMPROVED Added option to reset products, customers or documents separately in database reset section
FIXED Guide not positioned correctly on screen size scaled other then 100%
02. Backup database
To create a backup copy of your database, open settings and select "Database" section.
Click "Backup database" button and select location on your computer where you wish to store a copy of your database.
03. Reset Aronium
1. Backup database path
The first step is to select backup destination path. Aronium creates a backup of your database before the reset operation.
In this step, you can select a database backup destination path, or you can leave default one. Database backup will be created in selected location.
2. Select entities to reset
Second step is to choose what entities you want to delete from the database. You can select the following:
Products
Customers
Documents (sales, purchase, ...)
You have to be aware that some entities depends on other and to delete them you need to select the other ones. For example if you want to delete all customers you will have to delete all documents, or if you want to delete all products you will have to delete documents, too.
3. Confirmation
Third step is to enter admin confirmation password and press the "Reset database" button to clear selected entities.
Important notice
Running this operation can result in full data loss.
Resetting the database can clear all transactions, customers, products and can reset all counter values.
Once your database is cleared, restart Aronium, and you can start over with a clean database.
04. Hints to Restore Database
Rename backup file to match the original file name, it should be named "pos.db"
In Aronium, go to "Settings / Database" and click "Open database location". A directory where database is located will open
In that directory, you will see a file named "pos.db" (it is the database you have to replace)
Turn off Aronium before replacing the database file, if it is running
Replace that file with previously renamed backup file (replace old "pos.db" with backup file from step #1)
Start Aronium, you will have your backup restored
Cheers!
There are many software comes with free trial and free to use. But this software feels so comfortable and almost you can use all features except a single feature. Hope you explore the feature in this video.
I would be able to publish a next video. Stay tuned.
