At the Port of Richmond California, in the early 2000s. I seen a fleet of Honolulu Transit buses parked for delivery to Hawaii.

The 300's and the 800's/ 800-series (40-feet) will be moth balled/ retired from service. Updated service fleet.

They had New Flyers at the Port of Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦. Cars built in Canada would also leave from that Port city as well.

Yea it would be nice! The E buses are being fixed right now due to battery issues.

They are not in use at the moment. Not just our buses but nationwide. Something with the cooling system needs to be changed.

That wood floor looks nice. We just started getting some Gillig’s, but I haven’t driven one yet. I don’t like the driver layout, and the door switch is dumb because it’s less ergonomic and requires fine motor control instead of just moving your hand back and forth. I bet that’s going to get tiring to use. I see y’all are taking applications Nov 1st. What’s the starting wage? Does it pay reasonably for Hawaii?

I agree. The old school door handle is better. And yes, Thebus is still hiring, starting is close to 25$ h/r.

Man gilligs everywhere, they all look pretty much the same. We got gilligs a couple years ago they feel cheaply made buttons break easily, but who knows maybe we ordered the cheaper options, they're easy to drive though, tiny steering wheel takes very little effort, and ours being hybrids have the regenerative braking which is really smooth, but I'd still rather drive an old Orion V.

I agree. There is actually one bus in our fleet that has electric steering system easy to maneuver. Bus 700 something if im not mistaken. Wished they had it all

@@terry8089 oh I wanted to add though the wood floor looks really nice though! Ours just have regular floors, which I guess makes sense cause of how dirty they get I guess, but yeah the wood floor looks nice!
