Impressive presentation, I'm diggin' the format. Your selection of drone shots and the drawings make scale, location, and situation very clear -- ties it together. Best voiceovers on youtube, by the way. Rolling down the side map was really slick too. I've never seen coverage or presentations like what you do. ...Big green space south of a rail trail? That needs disc golf baskets! I wish you guys the best and hope that anniversary becomes a regional hit (drain the 'Cave!). Hoping Mr. B gets moved in before the party. :)

The video tells the tale. These lakes, and the others that have collapsed in the last few years, have filled with sediment, reducing the volume of water they can handle in a flood. The Corps stopped most sediment dredging of these lakes in the late 70’s.

Although my back wouldn't handle it. I think it would be bad ass if that green space had a small frisbee golf course, even a small 9 basket course,(assuming that it would be considered a "green space" rather than where the baskets sit), we don't have that many between Mt. Pleasant and Midland.

Someone told me it could be 10-15 years until the lakes back is that true :(
@lwilton
3 жыл бұрын
It could be true if enough lawyers and activists from out of state get in the way, but probably not. The engineering plans he showed said the dam would be finished around spring 2025. The lake should minimally recover within a year of that, though it may not be full height initially. Figure that this lake should be fully restored by 2026-2027. So 5 to 6 years.
