When people cheat it causes tremendous pain, suffering, PTSD, sometimes lasts a lifetime. So I always find it funny that people think the victim owes it to the cheater to listen to their BS story and excuses. It usually only makes the cheater feel better and be able to dump their guilt. That's the cheaters problem. Not my job to help a liar and cheater feel better about themselves by letting them dump their guilt onto me and have to hear a bunch of excuses, minimizing, blame shifting, justifications. Victim is already suffering enough. Just get out and screw your story full of half truths, manipulated details, just to make yourself look/feel better. This guy did it just right👊
@Sagasofbetrayal

Absolutely, the cheater's story is often just a way to ease their own guilt. The victim has every right to protect their own peace and not indulge in the cheater's attempts to justify their actions. The focus should be on healing and moving forward.

I will never understand why people feel the need to confront people when they cheat. I'm of the opinion, why waste anymore of your life on someone once they show you they aren't worth your time. All they will do is lie, shift guilt or cause drama. Life is too short for that.

We need answers, why ? You may think it’s stupid but when people like me are cheating on we can’t understand why, why go in a relationship to destroy the trust, to hurt the other one, etc Some people can’t live in ignorance and need answers, also cheaters when confronted and dropped will tell the truth and even be hateful against us, it helps us to destroy the last remaining feelings that we could have

@@miss_mish funny how you say « I don’t understand » and when someone explain it to you you go just « you are wrong, I’m right and you should have the same psyche and mind as me » What you said is just wrong, some of the cheaters I had had genuine remorses, they weren’t lying. Cheating is bad but it can come from people that are just good, it’s the mistake of their life. Being a cheater doesn’t make someone in their core bad so I don’t understand your whole « they will lie to you » because from my experiences some will and others won’t. I think you are too narrow minded on the subject to truly understand that cheating is bad, sometimes a mistake, can be in some instances be forgiven (depend on the person), etc And I’m not saying go and forgive, but that sometimes people cheat 1 time, on 1 night and it doesn’t make them bad people in their core or liars. For example, a cheater coming and confessing honestly it’s cheating is lying for you ? And if the other person want to understand and hear then the cheater will lie ? What you are doing is taking everyone and putting them in the same bag, which is by definition false. Maybe try to talk, understand the reason (which doesn’t mean you agree) if someone that have cheated. Sometimes it comes from people who lack attachment, have issues, or even the relationship is bad. That doesn’t justify their cheating but you could understand why and how they came to that
@southendsunxdsep
Ай бұрын
@@miss_mish Moreover you said it has nothing to do with you, wrong. You are bad wife or husband, it will push the other one away. It doesn’t justify the act of cheating but then you can understand why it happened. Comprehend a behavior doesn’t mean justifying it btw, I’m empathizing on it because maybe you will say I justify it. Also seing the person one last time can allow yourself to get all your feelings out (hatred, etc) which can help people that will get stuck in the past. Next time don’t act like a psy, humans aren’t just clones and we don’t need the same things to live and accept life. Some need answers, other don’t, some will ghost will some will forgive. You want to act like a « I don’t care » person then ok but most of people don’t want that

“She started telling me I could sleep with other women if I wanted to get back at her.” You’re single now. You don’t need her permission to sleep with other women. However, if she thinks having revenge sex will make you feel better, she really doesn’t know you that well. She thinks that she hurt you, and so you hurting her means you’re “even” and can go back to loving each other again. But all that gets you is you’re both in pain. You’re understandably angry with her. But you also still love her. Doing something to hurt someone you love won’t make you feel better, it just makes you hate yourself on top of hating her. Only a selfish person would think that’s a solution. It’s like if you’re really drunk, so they give you coffee. That won’t make you less drunk, it just makes you drunk and awake.

What the ex and her sister doesn’t seem to get is that the bachelorette party WASN’T her chance as last gasp. She was already committed and failed the ultimate test of partnership loyalty and temptation. She basically proved to OP that she can be easily talked into committing adultery. Sure technically she wasn’t married yet but she was committed to it and had had OP as a steady partner for quite awhile I imagine. If she can’t be trusted to stay true then, she sure can’t be later after marriage. At the very worst, she would have had to agree to such a lapse beforehand and allow him the same but I doubt he nor most guys on the verge of marriage would feel comfortable with doing that, even the ones who might cheat later or like open marriages because that’s kind of hard line almost no one would ever dare to cross.
