Hi Paul, The white NO BS Wolf trap is my favorite in NW Montana, doesn't freeze in as easy. Yet I have caught and held 5-wolves in the NO BS Coyote Extreme also, never lost a wolf in the coyote extreme... Excellent video Paul ...

So question, are you worried that the wolves will mess with th jaws so much that they will undo those nuts and pop the jaws out? (not a wolf trapper at all, over in NH but we trap big coyotes that breed with the wolves and I LOVE the idea of just cutting that last lil bit of jaw off and replacing it with a lil nut n bolt, but not sure on them being able to take them off.... Great video!

How are you setting the pan to exactly 10lbs. I have not been able to find a pan setter for that amount of weight.

I bought a pan tension tester from Hal Sullivan. I put a heavier spring in it and recalibrated the tester.

I normally get the black coating on mine. Had thought about going with no coating only because I've gone thru and replaced all my hardware on new traps because during the baking process I've found quite a few loose nuts due to the nylon being melted. They are a nice trap tho. Glad I went with them.

Paul, a little bowstring wax on Bernie's setters will keep those springs and bar sliding easier and not hanging up.

@@Northwoods208for what its worth, I "have" had ok results in adhesion w/spraying powder coating with certain enamels like Krylon plastic ready line of aerosols. If you were to do this, I'd do right away and let em sit in the sun and breeze til season. 🐺👃

@@NonTypicalRacing all next seasons gear has already been put into sealed totes, but I might try that on a few for the following season. The more and more people trap them around here, the more scent paranoid I've become, so I pressure wash the day I pull everything, hang in the shop for one night, then they hang on a tree branch 6 months and go straight into a tote with a gasketed lid

@@Northwoods208 oh I hear ya. 1 thing tho, they probably gonna have a different future as far as dyeing them...probably cant do it, idk though. Just wanted to point that out before ya commited to some dumb idea I said would work. I hunt whitetails, so I can really appreciate your scent concern. Take care n GOOD LUCK this season bud.
