I like the V pattern on the hood when the LP4's are on. It took me a second to realize they were shadows from the bumpers on the hood.

Beautiful lights! Terribly designed brackets! Perhaps I'll buy and put them on the bumper of my Rubicon!

I have purchased Baja Design lights for my 392 also, fogs, a pillar and XL Linkable light bar. Now for the sad part. They are all going on my sons JL. I moving over to KC lights now because they will have the light bar mount out pretty soon. I have talked to BD multiple times now. No hurry for the 392/Mojave light bar mounts. Pretty disappointed with that for sure. Hope the KC lights are just a nice. Really did want to run all BD on my 392. But I can’t look at a light bar sitting on my garage floor anymore. Your 392 is awesome brother.

LP4's are awesome! Which fuse did you use to tap into and does it cut the amber off when you turn on the lights? Thanks

I used a fuse tap on F52 CIGAR LTR so that they are key hot. The Baja Designs instruction had no caution for turning the backlight off when the main light is on. There only caution was for the LP6 Pro and LP9 Pro which have a high beam and low beam circuit. You cannot run the low and high simultaneously. The amber backlight is of such low wattage, it apparently is not a concern. They say "Use a three position toggle switch (on/off/on) that is Double Pole, Double Throw (DPDT). In one of the On positions, it will supply power to the low beam. In the opposite On position, it will supply power to the high beam. Custom wire harnesses must be made with 12 gauge wire for Pins 1, 2, and 4. Pin 3 must use a minimum of 16 gauge wire. If the minimum size wire is not used, fire, or damage to the light may occur." You can also accomplish the same with a Switch Pros auxiliary switching system and program the panel to turn one off if the other is on.

@@ThunderBear4WD Thanks for the response. That’s it there! No hi/low on the LP4. I love the backlight feature on these lights. 💯🇺🇸

non more discernable than the Jeep itself. One must remember, Jeeps are less aerodynamic than a cow.

Where did you get the a pillar mounts?

I bought the a-pillar bracket on Amazon. Affiliate link: amzn.to/3x3vZq8 The amazon pictures are wrong, this part number is the tapered laser cut version. I pulled this directly from my order history. Understand that this will fit a normal Rubicon, Sahara, Sport. It will not fit a 392 or a Mojave. I had to literally cut the bracket down the middle and add some 3" flat bar to reconnect it. I heavily modified mine to fit the 392. I also had to get longer bolts for the inside cowl mounts and I got some brass bushings to help the standoff fit properly as well. Just don't want there to be any misunderstanding.

We switched from CB over to GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) a few years ago. GMRS has superior range, clarity and is repeater capable. The radio is a Midland MXT500 amzn.to/3vafXMn The antenna is a Midland MXTA25 3dBGain "Ghost" Antenna amzn.to/48nu7YT Here is a channel that has been incredibly helpful in learning about GMRS. I highly recommend you check it out. @TheNotaRubicon

What cowl mount is that? Options are limited for our 392s. I like that one.

They are a heavily modified version of "A-Pillar Auxiliary Mounts - MOPAR Jeep Wrangler JL/JT Lower A-Pillar Mounting Bracket" - PN:82215427 Amazon Affiliate Link: amzn.to/3DaYXrd I customized them to fit the 392. I cut them down the middle and added some 3" x 1/8" flat bar to the side to tie the two pieces back together. I bought 6mm x 75mm long bolts for the top and added 2 10mm brass bushings to extend the steal standoffs that come with the kit. The bottom bolts and standoffs are the ones that came with the kit.
