I now have had a mains fuse on my phono stage, the first thing I noticed was a lower noise floor and better instrument separation, 2 weeks ago I changed the internal fuse on the phono stage and even better. Thank you tweaker man.

@tubefreeeasy

Since these fuses are directional, should you install them running left to right as you install them from the rear of the component?

They have an arrow on them, you just need to check with an electrical screwdriver which way the electric is flowing & put the fuse in the correct way, thanks for commenting & watching 👍

I also have hifi tuning supreme fuses throughout my system with AMR hifi fuses in my mains plugs. They DO make a difference but you need a system good enough to warrant it. Must upgrade mains cables first though to get the effect.

Which way around did you get the best sound? I used a multimeter to test current flow from positive to negative (brown/red to black wiring) and have them inserted the opposite way to how you showed inserting the fuse initially. Cheers.

Thanks. Many have said the fuse arrow sounds better in the direction of the current flow which in my equipment is with the fuse diode pointing away from the equipment ie into the fuse cap. Maybe your fuse holders are wired differently. Be interested to know how you decided on direction ie listening or in the direction of current flow. Cheers!

Esoteric Audiophile Hello, I've personal found the music to have more clarity, especially around vocals, & a more three dimensional sound, but remember this is all fractional, some people like to overblow how good tweaks are, I'm being realistic, saying these changes are subtle but are real, although you do need to change all the fuses in your system ie, in you amp, your cd player & your mains leads, I hope this is helpful, thanks for watching

Fuses make a considerable change on some components. In my experience installing a $25 Chi-Fi fuse on my headphone amp, it was major. Almost too much change tbh. So anyone saying fuses never change the sound. You’re wrong. End of story.

This makes sense! especially when it's the weakest link in the system it does something with the sound. Of course the system needs to have the resolution. In addition to this video, when you never have tried it you can't say anything about it. Everything is important!!!

1962Klaas If your building a pure copper or 10% silver cladded copper mains cable you must use a Audiophile fuse, because the fuse is the weakest link, for me its a no brainer, like you us audiophiles are extremely tuned in to sound quality.
@boboutelama5748

Fact is, there is no gain in using a silver cable as a main. Pure copper is the term that is describing a main cable. We, studio personnel are also tuned into sound quality.

The f...ing fuse is in the AC which means alternating current, this means the direction of the current changes 50 or 60 times per second depending on were you live...so scientifically it makes no difference which way around you put this snake oil fuse. Changing fuses or power cords does not change anything to the sound of the device, whether it is an amplifier, a cd player, a dac, a record player, a tuner.....moving your speaker 1 inch around in your room makes more difference. Companies who sell stuff like this should be closed down and put into jail for the rest of their lives... And so called audiophiles should stop listening to their gear and start listening to music..... And do not come to me with the BS that my system is not good enough or my ears not trained, if you think or believe you hear a difference that is because your brain biased...try a real blind test and stop spending money on snake oil...do some room treatment instead, cost less and your sound will improve.....
