Urgency incontinence is a type of incontinence that's due to an urge to urinate that's difficult to defer, that leads to urinary frequency and then sometimes, loss of control of bladder function.
In general, healthy humans who drink approximately 64 ounces of fluid a day will urinate (perform the controlled release of urine from the body) four to eight times a day. This number varies, is specific to each person, and may include varying amounts of urine.
