Great vid! I just bought the same exact set-up in black. I repair small engines occasionally, and work on my own stuff and help out my neighbors if they need it. The 26" bottom roller and top chest are all I will ever need for present and future storage IMO. And the US General boxes are built very, very well.

Thanks man the 26 inch has been awesome so far. Personally now that I have the 26 inch I've already filled it top to bottom and now I'm looking at getting a 50 ish inch box to help. But us general is still rock solid for tool chests I'll take that to my grave.

@@comander7681 Very cool. The US General 54” boxes are great. My friend has one, and he loves it!

I just got one. It’s awesome, except that the drawers are too shallow. I should have got the 44 inch.

I think they're perfect for a normal home owner. However I do agreed with you on the drawers. the new icon brand I think is deeper.

How To Actual yeah I might have to get the top section. Just can’t stand my deep sockets up. The 44 inch top drawer can hold pretty much all sockets, which is awesome. It’s okay though.

How To Actual that’s no lie lol. Not gonna argue that one! Although my uncle has some snap on toolboxes full of tools in his shop. Probably had them since the 80s.

Just bought the bottom cabinet, in orange. Like you, I had no organization to my tools. A bag with my most often used tools, an old Craftsman box with assorted tools and other stuff lying about. I plan on getting the upper chest in a couple of weeks but just being able to empty that tool bag and the Craftsman box into the new cabinet has been like, organizational nirvana. I had been wondering about adding a side cabinet in the future but worried about tipping the 26". I think you'd need to counter balance it with one on each side. Even if you loaded the 26" top and bottom to capacity, weight-wise, I don't think that would be enough to counter balance a side box. Love the quality of the US General, for sure. I did my research as well and all the Husky, Kobalt and Craftsman boxes in the same price range use thinner steel. The hutches on those other boxes are nice but I'd rather have the better built product.

Are you still happy with the 26? Do you wish you got the 44, 1 year later?

For an average homeowner like myself I couldn't be happier with it. It's probably the best thing harbour freight sells. Now if you repair cars on the side or have a lot of tools. Bump up to the 44

I know this is 2 years too late, lol. But the two boxes are just under 5 feet (59 5/8") when they are stacked together.

Do you think it’s possible to mount one of those ya general side cabinets on these 26” tool boxes. I haven’t seen the series 2 with the side cabinet. Only the 44” tool box
@comander7681

Yes I'm going to do it. It has the same hole drilled out that the 44inch has.

How To Actual so it should bolt right up and use the same lip? Because I’m fixing to buy this same set up for work and home. And their on sale right now
@comander7681

@@Mini.Moto.Guy806 yeah it'll bolt up. There's two screw holes on either side that you can conect the handle to. It's the same bolt hole location for the 44inch box and that's how the side box connects. It won't have the bottom bolt holes on the 26inch... but with that being said it'll still work. The lip does most of the work. If you're really really concerned buy two small self tapper screws and screw them into the bottom of the cabinet. But honestly you shouldn't need the bottom bolts. The two top ones and the lip will do 90 percent of the work.

And you're box is really light on tools and you're worried about it tipping lighter buy two boxes or put more weight on the other side.

How To Actual I’ll eventually add both cabinets on both ends if weight is a concern. But I haven’t actually seen it done on the series 2 26”. Looked on google/Facebook/instagram but i didn’t find the results I wanted .So I can get a better idea . Once I get it done I’ll probably upload a video and post it on instagram
