A ritual Bath you have pretty much in every Religion. The Hindus have it (a Dip in the Holy River Ganga), the Jews have it (Mikwe), in Christianity you have Baptism where either the Child's or an Adult's Body is emersed into Water. Sikhs are philosophically/theologically very similar to Hindus. Hindus, like other Dharmic Religions (Sikhs, Buddhists and Jains) also wear Saffron Colored Clothing.

Rajasthan is a state in India. I once visited Rajasthan and numerous forts and castles scattered across many cities. In one fort, I noticed a steel utensil for making lentils for the soldiers during mediaeval times. Not kidding, but I took a picture standing inside it: so big it was. I highly recommend looking up the forts of Rajasthan. Some of them are more than 500 years old.

This is the true message from our Gurus, community kitchen, hard work and dedicated to the supreme being, and yet having full filing life. Q1. About turban, it is a personal choice, can be 4meters to 7 meters or so. Takes me 10 min. Q2. About washing feet, all Gurudwara u enter have to clean the feet and hands. As they say cleanness is close to godliness. Q. 3 about the holy water or "Amrit" it called. Hence name Amritsar, pool of nector, so water is holy for all who visits and can take them with them in packaged form. They have installed huge filtration plant in year 2010 or so, so the water is almost mineral quality. Q4 about anyone volunteering? , yes! anyone can, volunteer, as long as one has love in thr heart and ready to serve hungry people. Q5. about the dagger, all who carry one they r all blunt blades and u notice they r bent at the end, so it is only ceremonial only, as law does not allow us to carry weapon in public. Q6. They makes about 1,00,000 meals at the max capacity. Yes all meals r vegitarian.

Remember Sikh are not bounded with Land , place or money like other any religion in INDIA. People try to bound us into there religion like HINDU or MUSLIM but we consider our-self as world citizen. we are neither HINDU nor MUSLIIM or CHIRSTAIN. we respect all religion that our basic root.
