John, thank you for making this video. I should note, when plumbing radiators the flow should be from top-to-bottom for best cooling and flow efficiency. While viewing the radiator: In(Hot, from inverter) at the upper inlet, and Out(Cold) at the lower outlet. 🤝🤟

There are people that use this on 220v 30amp and 220v 50 amp breakers. It draws full current from a 30 amp breaker but on a 50amp breaker it draws 43 amps. This would translate into more melting power than using it on a 30 amp breaker? How are you powering your unit?

A splitter is not feasible unless you can run from two separate circuits. You should have a new breaker installed to power the 220v.

So the unit has an internal switch that doesn’t allow it to start until it has water circulation. you should not run it without water circulation you may damage the unit. Take a few minutes and read the directions.

I'm just talking out my but here, but I think that pump and radiator might be a tad overkill.... I image a an aquarium pump and pc radiator, or even a bucket of water with ice, might work work well enough. I'm probably wrong though.

100% wrong these things need 20psi at I think 7.5 gpm. Without that it will sound an alarm and not function. Also if the liquid heats up too much it will shut off. These are proper self preservation techniques to ensure a long life span of these kinds of equipment. All quality induction heaters have these protections. These particular models LH-15A last forever because of this and a robust construction.

Thanks for the review. Chinese quality is confirmed as suspected. (yes this ussolid is just a rebranded chinese machine, check out aliexpress, literally the same machine, different cover) But the thing that worries me most is that scary scary power hookup. No protection whatsoever, disaster waiting to happen and definitely not up to spec in any civilized country. Next are the mighty thin wires coming of the circuitbreaker. I wouldn't even trust 16 amps through those, let alone 50. I can just see those wire meld when put to actual l thoong term use. That circuitbreaker, I have worked with those. I wouldn't trust them ever again. A-brand quality might cost twice as much, but it's well worth it. Finally those waterconnections within the machine look pretty dinky, also mixed all over the place with the electronics, no separation whatsoever. One leakage equals one destroyed machine. But if I would (re)build this machine, I would make it bigger, integrate the waterpump, separate the electronics from the waterworks and include a bay for a watertank. Upgrade internal wires with proper thickness and a nice cableway. I would probably upgrade the size of the mosfet heatsinks while at it. THEN you would be impressed, but for this engineer it just looks pretty cheap to me as it stands. And just to be clear for the army of the internet offended. This is meant as the truth, I don't want to put man down, I'm just being (brutally) honest about the build quality and I've picked apart many (chinese) devices over the years and you'd be surprised how much crap is out there.

Thanks for an honest review Patrick I agree with you 100% I was surprised about the connections in the back. I have a pretty industrial shop and typically working out by myself and with all things blacksmith power hammering welding and grinding it’s pretty much at your own risk if you’re not comfortable with your own abilities you should probably try a different hobby or career.

@@PapaJohnsWorld oh yes so true. Luckily I feel pretty confident about my abilities, but still I would like it to see equipment adhere to some form of sanity. For example if the watercooled part was seperated from the electronics, I would forgive the shoddy circuitbreaker. It's just the complete picture. Perhaps one day if I have my own youtube channel with too much time and money on hand, I would just buy one and rebuild it for giggles :) I do believe in the advantages of induction heating though. Both local and fast heats cannot be beat by conventional methods of heating (although my acetylene torch might disagree ;) )
