America doesn't "need" anything in this context - neither does the sun and the world revolve around the wishes of the United States. Hamas stated goal is the extinction of Israel and its people. The last thing they want is peace and normalization between Arab countries. It's amazing, on the one hand you consider us in "decline and decay" yet on the other hand powerful enough to move countries like pawns on a chessboard. Pick one.

@ryandavies4197 That is the point -- it will not. No one will stand for palestine openly because it will loose reputation due to hamas. Shady weapons supply is impossible too, because Gaza is logistically surrounded. Which makes Hamas a perfect weak enemy and the Gaza strip a guarateed war trophy.
@miriamweller812

@@heyhoe168 Not how it works. While our western media loves their propaganda, the majority of the world knows, that Israel is a brutal and murderous Apartheids regime. And while you can argue, that the way Hamas fights back against it is wrong and won't solve anything, Israel is MUCH MORE wrong. If you ignore the context, you could say that 2.WW was a gigantic, endless warcrime against millions of german civilians. Just ignore the violence from germany that led to that... Same thing. With the difference that Israel is comitting the mass murder against Palestina - not the other way around.

A savvy war analyst. We know that there have been 3 peace attempts that the parties have accepted and NATO has opposed all of them. The Minsk Agreement 2015 The peace proposal by Zelendsky on February 25 that Putin accepted. The peace draft from Turkey on March 31, 2022 that the parties accepted. NATO opposed all of them. this can be read in Jacques Baud's books about the Ukraine conflict. Jacques is a former Swiss intelligence officer who worked for NATO 2013-2017. Thank you NATO for preventing peace.

Fabricated nonsense. Putin buried Grozny in '99. Invaded Georgia in '08. Invaded and annexed Crimea with "little green men" (which he denied, then admitted), then armed, aided, and instigated "rebellion" in Donbas with FSB leader Strelkov. All acts of aggression, by Russia - in imperial wars of conquest. No amount of revisionist history will change these facts; Russia is the aggressor, every time.
@miriamweller812

War should never have started in the first place. When NATO pushed the coup in Ukraine it was about mere police violence (while the actual shooting was fake and not coming from the police at all and the demonstrants weren't peaceful, you had right wing extremist there which threw molotovs at the police - imagine would police in all NATO countries would do to people who do that, while the police in Ukraine stoically took it...). Then the (illegal) coup regime not only instantly sold Ukraine out to the west (long before any elections), but started a civil war against the peopel in the east and south who - for very good reason - where against a coup that got rid of the government they had elected, attacking them not with police former but the military, including clusterbombs on cities and alike (even CNN reported that at that time, likely not briefed yet...). But instead stopping it, NATO did the opposite. That alone already tells you everything about this. The analysis how this would end with Russia at some point forced to intervene was done 2008. Could have been a warning. NATO saw it as a plan...

What about the Minsk-2 my standpoint is that signing of this agreement was a big mistake from the Ukrainian side. This agreement violates the UN Charter, the Helsinki Act, the Budapest Memorandum, the Agreement on the creation of Commonwealth of Independent States, bilateral treaties between Ukraine and Russia, other international documents which ensure inviolability of borders in Europe. That is to say the Minsk agreements are glaring violation of the international law developed after the Second World War and being applied for the last 70 years. Therefore, Kyiv by signing these agreements had done the aggressor’s bidding, agreed to that fact that restoring control of Ukrainian borders by Ukraine’s government would depend on some further established terms. This is a serious violation of the international law. It is sensationally that this has been backed by European allies of Ukraine, and the France’s and Germany’s leaders put their signatures to the document. However, after signing the Minsk-2 the positions of western allies of Ukraine towards the conflict in Donbas changed. First they fully backed Kiev, then their positions changed into equal responsibility of Russia and Ukraine for execution of the Minsk Agreements, and now in view of this problem they put the biggest strain on Kyiv. It turns out that Ukraine has created a trap for itself and fallen in it by itself. Insisting that the Minsk-2 is the key to peaceful settlement of the conflict it more and more falls in this trap.

Thank you for this material. Almost 2 years ago, i was talking to my friend about this and he was like "russians dont have any more tanks, russians have suffered casualties, ukraine is winning, its a matter of time when they beat russia" I was very reluctant to see it the same way as my friend. I mean, just look at the warfare history of Russia. Almost in every war, they get beaten at the beggining, but then they, learn, adapt, produce a lot of mass produced equipment, and then come back in force. It was the case during the Napoleonic wars, during WWI, during WWII, the only exception being Afghanistan that actually won against the Soviets, but it was a different type of war. Anyway, like it or not, point is, Russians do have the capability to mount a counterofensive. Their factories work, they have manpower, and they have the "luxury" of keeping a prolonged conflict. Ukrainians dont. The thing that is happening now, happened to the Germans during World War 2. Avdivka will probably be the turning point of the conflict, just as Kursk or Stalingrad were. And Russians do like encirclement tactics...

Russian army is the strongest army in the world with the most battle experience, armed with the best weapons at this moment. And this is only a fraction of Russian armed forces ! Only half a million mobilized. One and a half million conscripts do not fight. Not taking into consideration the rest mobilization of potential. Avdeevka held for a long time , because it was heavily fortified since 2014 with tens of thousands tons of concrete , underground passages big enough for tanks . More evidence that Ukraine was preparing and being armed for war since 2014 , while Russia was trusting the West and Ukraine to uphold international , UN ratified, Minsk peace measures agreements and protocols ( for a Long 8 years ) , only to have Zelenskiy ( Ukranian president) , Angela Merkel ( German Counselor) and Oland ( French president) to come out in public and declare that they weren't going to follow the Minsk peace accord to begin with , and used them to arm and prep Ukraine. And now when Ukrane lost over 400k of their troops, US politicians screaming about " unprovoked" Russian "invasion" . Well , if 16000 civilian casualties in Russian speaking region of Eastern Ukrane ( Donbass ) since 2014 is not enough reason to be "provoked " , then I guess it was "unprovoked" .

If this had a mainstream audience everyone would scream “Russian propaganda”. The man commented though in the most realistic manner possible, he’s a soldier, not a strategist or a politician. I think he’s wrong in his assessment “this is good for America”, none of what’s happening is good for America (or anyone else for that matter, for Ukraine it’s not good at all, this outcome was obvious from the start, even a blind man could see it). Imo part of the motivation for the war in Israel is Netanyahu’s attempt to divert attention off his kinda dictatorial style of leadership, there were a lot of protests in Israel just before this terror attack. Under martial law the opposition was squashed.

@@Wild-Siberia I get it, what I’m saying is different though: this involvement in foreign wars or conflicts (even triggering them) is not good for America (and by that I mean as a country). Let’s say the involvement in Ukraine, the EU paid mostly lip service, the main financial supporter is the United States, what does the regular American taxpayer have to show after billions of dollars were sent to Ukraine? And do you believe for a second that America could potentially sustain wars with Russia, China and Iran? I’m not debating this administration is involved in triggering and pushing wars, I’m saying it’s not good for America (unless you’re in the board of directors for Raytheon and such). You are a veteran of the Afghanistan war, right? Look how that ended. Look at the state of Syria. How did that help the regular American citizen? edit-America’s stance shows the weakness and desperation of the Biden administration to have a “victory” indeed, what they’re doing though is not working. Recently they said that Islamic groups attacked American bases from Syria and Iraq…after claiming America has no military bases in Syria…how does that look? Like the government is lying to the citizens imo.

The situation with Gaza seems larger than that said in the video. To me, it seems like the Arabs saw weakness in the US overall strategy. WildSiberian is a soldier, but beyond winning the battle there is an economical side to all this. In terms of resources, Europe is very poor; to create the tanks, it needs to buy them. So you can even say that European arms are made with the resources of their "enemies". While the US and Canada are not in the same situation, it is nowhere near the resources of the rest of the world that the West has "pissed off" in our days. With Arabia reconsolidating and Africa finally starting to shed its colonial status access to resources is getting even harder and expensive. Europe is acting that it "blocked" the Russian market, but, the fact is that Europe still buys the much-needed resources from Russia through other channels at greater prices. Another issue is that the US keeps printing the US dollar to sustain all of this, and every time it is adding to inflation and devaluation of the currency. This practice is at its limit and could end up in the US default. It is obvious to the whole world and Russia is using it to the fullest. Personally, I think that the Russian army has a directive to take it slow and steady. The end of the Ukrainian war means that US spending will stop, and this would be a much-needed breath for the US economy. On the other hand, another great war would mean turning the US economy into a wartime economy and it would not matter how much money is printed, plus no elections during the war. People have to agree to this, however, today this is still not the case. The US today is heavily divided on political matters which could lead to a civil war. Seem like the West is in a peculiar situation here.

@@Wild-Siberia First of all, let me say that what you did took a lot of nerve (in a good sense) and willpower to do what you did. With all the dehumanizing of Russia, among other nations, that the West did for so long, the choice to see it for yourself seems like a hard one given your military record that only enhances that perspective. Your content is humane and this is rare. Yes, you barely touched the situation in Gaza, but, my input was about the economy and how this can affect the development on the battlefield and overall strategy. Causing an economic collapse is a way greater victory than that on any battlefield since it is what we can call "two birds with one stone" with way fewer losses and the prize is huge. The appropriate saying here is "Armies are marching on their bellies". Also, there is a matter of experience. One of the reasons I view Putin as a good leader is because it seems like he knows history and doesn't like to repeat it. Peter the First said after the first battle of Narva "We lost this battle, and we will probably lose other battles, but we will learn from this", and it seems like Putin has this on his mind. He saw the failure of the initial attack, saw that the Russian army was in dire need of experience, and with a struggling Western economy to support the effort to supply Ukraine, he decided that the Russian army should practice on Ukraine because a war with experienced NATO will be a different thing. Plus, if Russia lost most of the army in Ukraine winning the war would only mean a weak position that would encourage a NATO attack while Russians would be angry at the government for such a loss of soldiers. For someone who is still living in the West, it this very disheartening to see that our leadership does practically everything to cause a huge collapse of our civilization for really bad reasons. The only normal candidate in the US is Kennedy, but even he is stuck in the "evil communism" realm. While here in Greece most of the government are just stooges with the latest addition of a Woke "colture". We don't have any good leaders! Then a German vice-admiral said that the only thing needed to fix the situation was to show respect to Russia, and this word caused a mass hysteria, it is very obvious that something is not right in our society. Anyhow, I wonder where all this will get us. Again, thanks for your content, you and some others are showing the world an important view that can make a difference!

As said they are still fighting an attrition war in elastic defensive posture and if they start bearing high losses then that defeats the point and Ua forces aren't still at the point were they can't maintain their heavy fortified position there and supply chains, maybe in few months things will change. Probably the current operations there are to distract forces from other fronts and funnel the grinder same they did for months in Bakhmut. Also Avdiivka being almost in a cauldron is a good pocket for grinding enemy forces. As for needs to take ground immediately for political win and avoid humiliation. I doubt that. This is the last of Ruskis concerns currently.
