His basic thesis: The US will figure it out and be okay because we have to. China is doomed because they have to figure it out and they won't? His vision lacks imagination to say the least.

Nooooo.... China lacks many important things: natural resources, allies, a competent government, a decent military, a new generation that is numerous enough and driven enough to keep the country from collapsing. Given all these enormous problems, how long does the CCP have? Only time will tell.

If I recall he mentioned that potash shortage from Ukraine will cause food shortages. Not starvation in the USA. We are currently having shortages world wide. Don’t expect to see that in the news.

I live in Indonesia and conduct business throughout Asia, and extreme hunger is indeed rising at an alarming rate here. 2023 also saw very good weather in most key food production areas which helped a bit. I also have a mate that is in the ag fertilizer game in Australia and he is of the same view...he cannot supply more than 70% of his demand and his customers have been eating into their reserve stockpiles. He reckons end of this year and 2025 the 💩 will be hitting he 🪭.

Not food related. Habit related. Lack of exercise. Eating refined sugars and flours. Playing video games and not exercising
