Love how Chris always cuts right to the chase. He never pretends to be politely “unsure” of the popes real intentions. When you see stripes think zebra. Brian and Chris make a great team.

Watching just the ad burns my heart. After my profound conversion 16 years ago during a pilgrimage, our Lady had chosen a mission for me to be an educator. God intervened through her to save my marriage. I see a clear direct attack on marriage and family in our educational system. It is an uphill battle to save our children, but they are our future. God bless!

In March 2015 Scalfari asked about people going to hell, and Pope Francis reportedly replied: “There is no punishment, but the annihilation of that soul. If that is the case according to Francis, then how could a soul have “infinite dignity “?

This is an interesting question. I guess I would think that a person going to hell has chosen that for themselves. Just as a person could still end their earthly life even if we grant that they have infinite dignity. Maybe? I don’t know though, curious How do you see it?

“For Jesus, the good done to every human being, regardless of the ties of blood or religion, is the single criterion of judgement. “ - Dignitas Infinita (Point 12). Sounds like works-based salvation Universalism with no faith needed.

In the Apostolic mass offertory the priest says, “O God, who didst wonderfully create, and yet more wonderfully restore, the dignity of human nature: Grant that we may share the divine life of him who humbled himself to share our humanity, thy Son Jesus Christ; who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. If God restored man’s dignity, does that not indicate that man had lost it? When the pope says that every person has infinite inalienable dignity, is it in the same way that we all possess a free will as an integral part of us, and always will, whether we end up in heaven or hell? Or does it mean that the love of God is showered upon the person, eternally? I am thinking that it cannot be the latter because, unlike the free will, if a person goes to hell, God hates them forever after. At least that is what the Church used to teach. For the same reason, it cannot be the former also. I would have thought that dignity would be commensurate with honor due. If my dignity and the Blessed Virgin's dignity are both infinite, should I receive the same honour that the Mother of God is due?

God does not hate anyone. It’s vice versa. Man loves himself more than God.

+JMJ The idea that man has infinite dignity was never a Catholic belief but rather is the invention of a Protestant modernist by the name of Friedrich Schliermacher (d. 1834). He taught that man has a natural intuition of the infinite and that the self is immortalized and infinite. This is heretical insofar as he attributes divinity to corrupt human nature. His intuition is subjective, gnostic and monist. It's a rehash of heresies rejected in the early church. Baptism wipes away original sin but not its effects. We are in constant need of God's love and forgiveness without which we are dust. We also must make reparation for our sins. The only 2 humans with infinite dignity are our Lord and our Lady, both of whom were born without sin. The papal bull is in error to the extent it is premised on "infinite dignity" in man--a tired modernist rehash of ancient heresies.
