727s were awesome! Continental had a lot of them. Use to non rev to MCO and TPA to see my parents in Winter Haven. It seems like a life time ago. They both passed away since. 40.00 RT any where is the US! Space available though. Good times. Miss them both alot.

I have been flying since 1984 & have never flown on a 727! From 1984-1990 I flew Piedmont, only, and they only used 727's for long hawl fights from their BWI, DAY, & CLT hubs to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tampa etc. Their time table actually noted that flight #'s 1-99 were 727 aircraft and later when they added 767's flight #'s 1-10 in bold type "denote 767 widebody aircraft". I always flew from Buffalo to BWI or BUF to BOS then ABE and Piedmont only flew either 737-200's, Fokker F-28's or those horrible Henson Airlines prop jobs my bro & I used to call flying lunch boxes. Later on US Air I'd fly on their 757's to FLL & MCO from CLT and PIT and in 2002 I flew from PIT to LAX on one of their new A330's which was the largest I've flown. As an adult anyway. Back in 1972 when I was 2 yo my mother (she was only 20!) & I flew from Buffalo to Guam to meet my dad who was stationed there while in the Air Force. He was only 21! He loaded bombs onto B-52's that took off from Guam flew to Vietnam, dropped bombs on whatever targets they were told to bomb then fly back to Guam & repeat. Anyway mom & I flew on AA, & according to her we flew from BUF to ORD on a 707, stayed on the plane and continued to LAX. We had a layover in LAX and flew a 747 from LAX to HNL then a special military transport plane from HNL to Guam. I of course have no memory of it. I was however relatively easy to fly with minus some screaming over the Pacific for about 2 hours straight due to the altitude causing my ears to hurt. The stewardesses took pitty on my poor mother and took turns carrying me around the plane when they had the free time. That would never happen today!!
