Thank you! I 'invented' it way back when I was heat embossing envelopes and needed to find a way to melt the powder without burning the thinner paper. Hope you find it as useful as I do!

Love to see all your thought processes! I rarely "make a plan" but do sometimes have a stamp or die set in mind I want to use. I have a basket of backgrounds panels previously stamped, inked, or die cut and another basket of strips of paper pieces, sentiments, shapes, just pieces from other card making sessions. Last weekend I had enough from these two baskets to put together six of twelve cards for a commission order! I was amazed! I hope to get the other six cards done today! I can't wait to see more of your Christmas cards! Oh, and I see you used white embossing powder jar instead of the sparkle stuff! Lol, I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't said anything! ;)

Plan? Well, I'm so new to making cards that I wander over to my table and sit staring around for a few minutes before I start. I'm always a bit confused and overwhelmed by it all so I sit for that few minutes, gathering the courage to do something. Then I take either my little container with the few dies I own or my little binder with the few stamps I have and begin to flip through... still confused, I might add. Eventually I cut a bit of cardstock with the trimmer and usually get it crooked.... let's not talk about my blurry eyesight. After that I either put something through the die machine or I put a stamp into my stamper thing and make some marks onto a piece of [usually] watercolour paper. Not that I'm very good at watercolouring [we won't mention my shaky hands], but I like the feel of that paper so I tend to reach for it more often. Besides, I have more of it than any other paper because I thought I was ordering cardstock when it was really watercolour paper. Eventually I struggle with the glue bottles to put a few things together and come up with a card. I show it to hubby and he says appropriately encouraging things and I'm happy for the day. That's my "planning process". LOL

That sounds a lot like most of my 'planning process'. I have a lot of 'supplies' (I have so much of certain holidays that I always intend to use what I have, but my poor hubby just shakes his head when I tell him I've either run out of something or I actually realize that I don't have something! My suggestion to you... since it sounds like you don't have very many stamps or dies right now is to start setting up a way to keep them organized .... otherwise you might end up like me right now -- a little 'overwhelmed'. I have a large binder that I keep a 'sample' of my stamps & stencils in..... I currently have an avalanche pile that needs to be sorted and sampled from my last two months of 'binge buying' (& I don't really remember half of what I bought either!). Good luck to you on your future cards and keep one thing in my mind -- always remember to have fun with it!
