Great series of tutorials. Came here looking for some explainer videos on learning jJazzLab. Good final result with the backing track and the guitaring.

Thanks for the video. I am wondering however, why Mixcraft? You didn't really explain why there was some added value to importing your backing track into Mixcraft in this context, compared to using the Jjazzlab version...

Thanks for the question. Starting with jJazzlab gives you a ready made starting point for an arrangement. But them you can add or subtract instruments inside your DAW software, or perhaps duplicate or cut parts out. I just happen to use Mixcraft for my DAW. Since each MIDI track is independent you can apply any virtual instrument that you have in your DAW software to them. Then of course you can use the backing tracks and record your own instrumental or vocal tracks on top. jJazzlab does a lot, but you don't have facilities for recording like in a DAW software does.

I had a similar problem with midi bass lines when I dropped ChordPulse files into Mixcraft. I was using another bass Vst and it was playing an octave low (if at all), so I transposed it up and it worked great. Maybe that happened to your drum track? Love your work (and I'm a huge Mixcraft fan).

You are probably right. I sometimes get impatient! Thanks.
