No top skiers today are skiing with much counter at all. The hips stay square to the direction of travel. Strength comes from a tall position. High edge angles come from overall body inclination.

Knees are quick for initiation, but the power and stability comes from dropping that hip to the inside to maximize edge angle.

Am i correct to asume that the inside foot supinates and the outside pronates? And If it is so, Could I also asume that they (the feet) are the main “initiators” when starting a Carving turn?
