one use of worry seed i was surprised you didn’t mention is the move being used by sand ferrothorn in gen 5 ou to stop magnezone from trapping you. since most magnezone will use sunny day to remove sand, you can safely use worry seed and then switch next turn without the risk of taking a ton from hp fire. it has a plethora of other uses, such as to force opposing magic guard pokemon like reuniclus or alakazam to take sand damage, breaking the focus sash on the latter and chipping the former. pretty neat option if you want to screw around

False swipe most likely hasn't been used by any top tournament players but it has been used in gen 6 as a fun strategy on Mega Beedrill together with fell stinger. You use false swipe on some weak mon to intentionally leave it with 1 hp and guarantee a ko with fell stinger the next turn (fell stinger raises attack by 3 stages if it koes the target).

@@primrosevale1995 PP stalling moves aren't special. They're a legit, consistent strat in specific gens. Using lick and hoping for a paralysis sucks. It's unfun on both sides and requires far less skill. You've got some interesting moves there but a lot of them are just ways to K.O. a pokemon slower. Like Smackdown? Come on. Every pokemon that can learn smackdown can learn rockslide or stone edge or something, anything. If a metagame were filled with moves like these. Well it'd basically be gen 2 singles. A slog.

@@johndiddilyjoe6258 My point is they found a creative way to use the moves. That's literally all I'm suggesting. Find creative ways to use them. Incorporate them into strategies, build teams with them, that sort of thing. Lick and Dragon Breath can paralyze Ground-types, Smack Down has the ability to ground Flying-types and those with Levitate, for example. All these move have potential use due to certain qualities they possess, so why not try to experiment and see what works? We're nowhere near having exhausted all possible competitive possibilities.
@johndiddilyjoe6258

@@primrosevale1995 lick and dragon breath can sometimes paralyse ground types* it's inconsistent. That's the problem with most of these moves. They're too inconsistent, and sure you could make "interesting" plays with them but you can't expect anyone to do that. Even playing perfectly, with the most meta damaging moves there's still a lot of randomness. Upping that by getting rid of your consistent moves and replacing them for Rage or Smart Strike would only make matches longer and less entertaining.

Dragapult with Curse has also been relatively common in OU for the past couple generations. It runs it on hyper offense with screens. It allows it to kill itself and prevent defog from removing the screens it sets up. Also gives a free switch in to whatever set up sweeper it is trying to enable. If the opponent switches then you get a free turn of setup. If they don't switch then they have taken half their health from curse damage already.

Porygon never needs tackle to pp stall snorlax. Recover stalls body slam and you outspeed it so you can react to whatever snorlax did last turn, and you have more recover pp than body slam. If you need to waste turns thunder wave is totally enough. Any move to chip it is fine, if rests you switch to a strong attacker, if it doesnt rest it eventually dies. Tackle is reserved to mew who generally has much higher total pp (at least, higher than the lax sets porygon actually beats, cause if they have amnesia you just lose that 1v1 anyways, and some of lax's moves like hyper beam and selfdestruct isnt gonna be something it clicks multiple times in a row), especially if it's running reflect and is paralysed, losing extra turns compared to you

The content itself is a lot less... Constructed? Research based? Unsure the correct word here. A competitive video involves searching several websites for data on did anyone use this 'mon in VGC, if so who and for what, and in singles, what is it's tiering history and what does it do in its tiers, if anything. Meanwhile, something like the Salamence Theorem is just a brief glance at a few mins in a few different generations/tiers. They require very little additional research, as you just need one example of a prominent Pokemon showing a trait. I'm not saying these videos take no effort, they still have scripting, recording, graphics, editing, etc. Just a lot less research based, so they're easier to make compared to the usual How Good was X Actually

A lot of people have been mentioning curse screens dragapult (which I know BKC doesn't play a lot of new gen OU so it makes sense that he may not have mentioned it) but another fun, albiet very gimmicky one, was sub infestation curse sitrus mimikyu in gen 7 UU. Mimikyu was already quite strong on spikes offense, especially before that disguise nerf, but this set lets in infestation a switch in that would usually deal with it no issue, sub or curse next term to deal with either status or an incoming hit, shrug off said hit with disguise, and with sitrus be able to set up enough substitutes to kill the opposing mon with three curse ticks + infestation damage + any last damaging move if it so wanted it.
