Helpful hint covor lots of water and vary retrieves from fast moderate and slow. Try 3 casts per spot. That way you can get the 3 different variations of speeds to what fish will respond. Important especially when it's hot to covor the edge of covor if you don't have braid. Points pockets and drops from shallow to deep. If it's cooler try fishing areas with rock or that's muddy. If you get bites in those 3 casts fish area 10 minutes then move. If you get no bites keep moving and use the variety of retrieve speeds fast medium and slow. Use each retrieve speed with each cast fast, medium or slow. Trust me doing this helps.

I love your videos mostly because you show what EVERY fisherman goes through, no editing out the smaller fish, or when you fall, or any of the imperfections which go with this incredible sport. You also catch, again, what we ALL do when we think the fish at the end of the line isn't as big as we thought it was. Thanks for keeping everything as real and true to life as it actually is. See ya later, buddy!

Haha circle hook strikes again. Don’t set the hook. Leave it in the rod holder until the rod loads up completely. Then just keep strong tension. Everytime you set the hook you yank the hook out of its mouth. Use a J hook if you want to set the hook

You gotta be patient with those circle hooks friend! Just wait and when it’s had it for a while then reel up the slack and keep it under tension. The hook needs time to move to the side of the mouth, turn to the side and slide into position and the under pressure the hook turns and the point goes in. If you pull too hard too soon, then the round edges just slides right out of the mouth without catching and turning into the side of the mouth. Cheers!

Normally if I'm using circle hooks, I wouldn't strike/ yank cos simply unnecessary to circle hooks will almost certainly set itself right at the side of the mouth of the fish where it was designed to. Matter of fact I have lost lots of fish when I include strike movements when using circle hooks. If you are using other hooks like octopus, live bait, bottom hooks etc then u might wanna include strike movements in these kinda hooks.
