What makes you choose between a flaifhawk vs swimbait vs shrimp jig?

I always have each one usually all 3 tied on. Lately I have been starting with the flarehawk. Then the swim bait. Then the shrimp jig. Some factors are if it’s light out I will use the swim bait first for the vibration and better visual effect. If the shrimp are running I use shrimp or in winter as well. If mullet are running I will burn a flarehawk on top or use a lighter weight on the swim bait and keep it on top. You never know 💯what they will prefer.

I just subscribed to your channel. Very good information. I have a question do you still use bait caster equipment if you are fishing jigs from the bridge or jetty . If so do you still use the 8 foot length rod. I am looking to build a new rod for my Tranx 400 for snoop. Thanks

Thanks for subscribing! I still use a baitcaster when fishing from shore. Some guys like a 9’ rod from shore for the extra casting distance. Additionally, a longer rod allows you to put rod tip down below the bridge if a fish runs under the bridge. The longer rod can help keep you from getting cut off on the bridge span. So you should consider those two things and whether this will come up where you fish.
