All of us are evil and most likely to go to hell. If you have lied once, stolen a small thing, said OMG (using gods name as a cuss word, looked at someone sexually, you are worthy of going to hell. We cannot do good to get into heaven but instead Jesus Christ paid the fine by dying on the cross so that all we have to do is to confess, turn away from our sins, and to put all of our trust in Jesus Christ along for your salvation!

audio to midi is not very hard to do, however i don't think it will work in realtime because it would be too many sfx triggers for gd (or maybe not?) you could make sure there is a fixed number of triggers per second to make it work in gd, but then it's not gonna be as accurate

how feasible would it be to use a "song" uploaded to Newgrounds that's a single-cycle waveform? I'm not sure if the song trigger and the sfx trigger share the same functionality (i haven't really messed with them too much), but if they did this would allow you to, of course, use a much much larger variety of waveforms, and possibly even interpolate through them for a full-blown wavetable synthesizer. Another idea that came to me was what if you literally uploaded audio of just different levels of DC to Newgrounds, and very quickly switched between these songs (or switched between +1 and -1 DC while modulating gain) to construct a waveform? not sure if the game can process stuff at that rate, but if so that would technically make it possible to synthesize any digital sound within the game. I've also been itching to do some experiments with the digital interpolation that occurs when you pitch things around because it's obviously very imperfect and results in neat artifacts that could potentially lead to some interesting sound design applications. if only there was a way to control the delay of a sound in a precise way many more possibilities would open up. imagine a geometry dash biquad filter. I feel like you've already thought this through, but it's an interesting concept nonetheless. I love this sort of stuff! thanks for dedicating time to this project :)

I know nothing about triggers, so sorry if this is not possible. But for things like reverb and other effects, could you make multiple copies of the bank of sfx triggers, with the only difference being their reverb setting. Then a switch on the interface could switch between what bank is currently playing. Again sorry if this isn’t possible, just thought of it. Regardless this is so cool, it’s incredible what creators like you have been able to do already with the update.
@flashmichworld
5 ай бұрын
yes that's absolutely possible! I was originally planning on adding a reverb switch on/off but figured it nearly always sounded better w reverb on. And didn't have much more room on the UI to include it, though I'm still tweaking and updating so maybe in the future

I wonder if you could play different sections of samples quickly but in order and create a granular synth. Another thing to potentially try is after audio is played initially, playing it again repeatedly at lower and lower volumes to create a delay effect. By turning up the delay speed high enough it might be possible to create a flanger filter, or create a chorus effect by modulating the delay speed.
@27hz95
