Y'know, most artists nowadays are always afraid of not being completely original and being similar to some other form of media, so admitting that you have taken some inspiration from various other works is honestly a great way to break the stigma of getting ideas from other forms of media. I applaud you for that Kevin, keep up the good work.

I read a book called Eye of the Moon (by Anonymous, part of the Bourbon Kid series) and I absolutely loved it because now and then I'd read a scene and think "hehe, yeah, I've seen that movie." There's Desperado among others to bulk up the original madness like Elvis Presley with a shotgun guitar fighting vampires. I've got to reread that book come to think of it :P But yes, taking inspiration, good stuff ^_^

Yeah, until I became more interested in writing and stuff I didn’t realize how many little details can happen just because the author wanted them to- for example, I made a character named Chaos (don’t judge I acknowledge it’s……unabashedly edgy and cheesy) and literally named a character Bloodshed because of the line “Chaos and Bloodshed are not a solution” from Hamilton smh Not inspiration as much I guess I just thought it was funny

@_-Lx-_

Well not "not ever" as there's probably plenty of cases of poorly executed inspiration where the new thing will be destined to live in the others shadow or be compared to it. A healthy dose of it is definitely good though, nearly everything in history has been built upon things that came prior, so as long as you use your inspiration in a useful and constructive way where you can add your own value to the concept it is very much important and healthy.

I love the diversity of inspiration for these shots! Never thought I'd see the musical episode of Dexter's lab be used as reference lol. Sorry if the wording is weird, I'm not sure how to phrase this question well.
