Great vids and info! Alot of people keep those baby kings without knowing, I found another way to tell the difference other than the lateral line is the reflection that comes off of the belly the kings are more purplely

Honestly, every video I watch of yours I feel like I get withdraw symptoms. I start getting anxious, excited and the urge to fish sets in and I cannot think about anything else. The action you get is always amazing and the variety of fish you land is always educational. Ive picked up a ton of tips and new approaches. As a Florida Native of Ft Myers, Ive done a ton of fishing. Fresh and salt. But always looking for a lead that will land bigger and better catches. Thanks for the tips and the content.

Perhaps try running a 20lb copolymer like izor line platinum..its cheap as dirt yet abrasion resistant as hell. Landed a 50lb king (chinook salmon) line wrapped around a cement bridge pilling and landed the fish.

I just found your videos...even though I i lived here most my life ( minus my time in the army). I like you're style of letting most fishing go and just your mind set while fishing. I fish as a outlet for my ptsd it's calming even if I don't catch ANYTHING. I'm saving my pennies to get my self a boat ( dusky) to start fishing as much as i want, and till then..who knows...maybe I'll book a trip with you haha , you seem like a good guy with a good de minor ( yes i wake up at 5am everyday too!).

I used shrimp, but ran out and then put on a jig and white twister tail. I could not keep the fish off, they literally ate the plastic while i was retrieving it. each twister tail lasted about 15 casts. it was way more effective than the shrimp. i like your video, I want to go down there fishing again. did you ever try jigs and twister tails and what was your experience?
