For those of you looking for additional lookups. How I did it was this way: I just added the additional linear dimension parameters that I needed and had them coded in the double lookup table. So I had Size, view orientation and new/existing. and numbered them 1-2-1, 2-2-1. The fist number was the actual size of my parts, then the second number was for the three different orientations I have for each size and then I had the layers change to a lighter shade for plotting with the last number being 1 or 2. The 3 digit code I had works perfect for the blocks I created following KaDe King's tutorial and then adding additional lookups.

Superb explanation of the process. Thanks for taking the time. It's just a shame you needed to do this because Autodesk simply can't make something seemingly so simple require an overly complex workaround to achieve. They'll fix it in the end though, but it won't be until the 2030 release. The phrase 'glacial progress' doesn't even touch the sides when it comes to Autodesk.

Hi! Great video! I have a quick question though, if you could help me please! I amusing AutoCad 2023, when I create the 'Double Lookup', and add 2 actions to it, then add it to the block, I do not see 2 actions like yours.. It only shows 1. Even when i double check my work, and look at the properties of the parameter set, to make sure I have 2 actions, which I see are lookup, and lookup. Any thoughts? i assume AutoCad has made somechanges from the 2018 version your using, to the 2023 version I am using.

This looks like it will work, unless you are having a problem getting the two look ups to attach themselves to the one parameter. I have followed EVERY step up until you drag it out into the place where you are going to put it and then it only shows just ONE look up action. What am I doing wrong? Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

What a Disaster... ACAD used to be about keeping things Simple and Universal. This is horrible to try to reverse engineer other people's work. What a failure on Autodesk's part. I can't believe how bad such an easy to use program that everyone could use has become.
