I think Reason should add midi routing in next update. Reason and Maschine are the only 2 daws that don't have this feature with scaler. Until then I'll still be draggin and droppin.

It's so needed. Also for using multiple instruments inside of Kontakt, for example.

Yeah.. totally agree Reason should do midi routing in next update.. can't use Melody Sauce properly either and it seems like it would be simple to add being that Reason is supposed to be the king of routing things. Makes no sense lol

Musicians are the smartest people in the world!! There is a reason being musically trained helps people increase their ability to learn and apply Math and Science.. Their is no cheating, its just the brilliance of Musicians figuring out how to exploit one thing to make something else and increasing efficiency. The music snobs want people to fly in 100 string players for a hit you can get out of a stock sample.. If we allowed the music traditionalist snobs to lead, we wouldn't even have an entire hip-hop culture or radio and would be listening to Bards in local pubs for quick music entertainment..

Not to much..people just extra and spoiled..if we paid $5000 for a instrument they will use what they got and make the best of it untill the wheels fall off 😅

Doesn't "BLUECAT PATCHWORK" work as a host so you can control any instrument in reason?

Have downloaded and installed the 30 day trial version, but Reason doesn't see any VST however it works on Ableton lite not very well though. I really wanted to like it but am unsure if I like doesn't seem very user friendly to a beginner, unlike reason.

Hey! This review was helpful to me, and I purchased Scaler2. Unfortunately it's crashing now that I updated to Reason 12. I've done some troubleshooting but I can't figure out the answer. Has anyone else had issues since upgrading?

Thanks for this video. Well done. I’ve bought this today just to see how it works. I like playing my own notes as I always have melodies in mind to work with. I notice scaler keeps playing every chord I play slower than I played it. Mind you, i’m never really home so I use the built in keyboard in reason, but I can’t seem to figure out where i’m going wrong. Any advice please? I want the chords played at the same tempo I played it not slower.

It's probably your audio interface lag. Open up your preferences in reason and set it as low as you can without performance issues - try starting with 128.

How do you think reason players chord sequencer & scales and chords compares to Scaler2? Which is your preference?
@StockMusicMusician
Жыл бұрын
Scaler 2 is more powerful and ultimately more usable for serious productions. Chord Sequencer & Scale and Chords integrate smoother with Reason and are really fun to experiment with and can get great results - but it's much less predictable and has a lower ceiling for its capabilities.

I like Scaler 2 and it's a nice tool. but still haven't upgraded to Reason 11 although Scaler 2 will work with any DAW including Reason 10 just fine. I know we are some months after the Reason 11 introduction but I still haven't upgraded even though I've owned every version since 1.0. I continue to be baffled by their overpriced upgrade and rack extensions. It's an odd direction when companies like Waves (once notorious for expensive software) offer quality tools at a reasonable price. They also offer frequent sales programs. Back to Scaler 2 - it is a handy tool for generating ideas

Stock Music Musician facts. I look at all things as a learning tool. For instance using the ‘Reason’ DAW gave me confidence in setting up my hardware analog gear properly. Splice made we want to work harder at creating better samples and music layers. Auto tune is teaching me actual ‘pitch correction’ and helps me practice singing the right notes. Although, I still can’t really sing. Lol. I wouldn’t try auditioning anywhere that’s for sure.

I don't mind your image at all, but what's terribly annoying is the fact that it hides an important part of the video's purpose. Why not place it in the lower left-hand corner, so that we can see all the manipulations you're doing? Thanks.
